League Paper

Like many others, I readthis every week and generally enjoy it.

Okay, I'm a sad git. But how do they work out their ratings?

Trundle got 5 on Saturday but was rated as their star player in the report on the Swans, while Jo got 9 but the two forwards selected for team of the week got 8.

Also (haven't got it here) didn't the keeper for the Second Division TOtW play in the MKD v Walsall game (which missed out the Walsall ratings)?

It also seems that the different reporters have different views on the mertits of players - some matches have most players rated as 5 and 6, while others are all 7s and 8s. A look at the Second Division TOtW feature players from aboyt three clubs and no more.

It's not just them. If you look at any paper over a few weeks, you will find sides who seem to get treated very kindly by the 'assessors' and others who win 6-0 and only get a couple of 7s and the rest 6s

When they score a game you've been at, you also wonder if they've been watching the same game. I think they gave Nelson 7 for Saturday, when he was at fault for the Bradford goal and only made about 2 saves.

The League Paper that I read yesterday said that Darren Pratley had moved into a place "in the mariner" in Swansea

Hello Sailor!

Hello Sailor!

I liked the comment about knowing he wanted to move their when he heard of their interest. Is that why he turned them down last season and came back to us on loan?

The Times managed to spell Brentford wrong in their report...

Country is going to the dogs!!!!!!!!!

On the floor. There's quite a lot of floor outside Brook Road. I looked around but only saw the programme seller.

By the right hand entrance to the terrace, only saw it when coming down the stairs. The pile certainly wasn't obvious

2,000 to be handed out apparently. What a waste of an opportunity. Lucky the GPG didn't advertise it like we were asked to and made to look like idiots.

How much were they charging for an advert?

League Paper

No idea but theu wanted to advertise here for free.

League Paper

I arrived early and the papers were just tied up in a bundle on the floor at Brook Rd. I'd bought it on Sunday so didn't bother trying to get one, but they weren't being proactive to hand them out

League Paper

So they were just dumped outside the ground - marvellous.

League Paper

Indeed, losers. All just piled up, no representatives pushing them or anything. Email that berk who tried to advertise here back and tell him to jog on I say

League Paper

All of the ratings around are random, because most of the time the reporter at the game dont have a clue who any of the players are. the football league paper ios normally OK thought

League Paper

isn't it free...

League Paper

No.
