Couldn't afford him full time but he is not wanted at Hearts - if he doesn't get a move, might be tempted by a loan spell at Brentford if we did not have to pay much of his wage and we had an injury or two in midfield.

Would he really entertain a 500 mile move....for a few weeks on loan?

With his uncle as 'Assistant Manager' he might. If he is still at hearts in a couple of weeks time he is going nowhere until January

Sorry didn't put 2 and 2 together!! Have driven to Manchester had a 4 hour meeting and driven back today!! Am shattered!!

Would swap him for Pinault any day. Class player and a free kick expert as we found out last season.

I mentioned him last season after Hearts bought 37 players in the Jan transfer window but would be going to Bristol City methinks.:sad:

Hearts would be happy to get him out on loan with the club having him paying less than that I reckon (if they can't offload him)

I don't disagree, but there are an awful lot of conditionals in there...

if he doesn't get a move

might be tempted

if we did not have to pay much of his wage

(if) we had an injury or two.

If he's going anywhere it will be to his dad at Bristol City. The question you have to ask yourself is: Why would he want to come to Brentford?

I heard that William Gallas wants out from Chelsea as they won't guarantee him starting place as centre half. Maybe we can take him on loan ...:fishing:

To a certain extent that's what a lot of people in football do - how many do you consider and then not sign

Not so long ago people were saying the likes of Salako and Burton were surprising signings

Looks nothing like him. Our GJ had hair and was considerably taller! Mind you, everybody looks short to you :D

Lee Frost and Gary Johnson, what a strike force they were. As for loanees , Nicky Forster would be a good'un. Mind you, I think he's still very much a tractor boy, worse luck. Maybe he'll have a lean spell and return to a triumphant G.P. homecoming?.

I also see that Grant Smith is having a trial with Bristol City. I don't know enough about him other than he's supposed to be reasonable, played with Heywood and would appear to be available. With the Bristol City connection, I'm surprised we haven't been sniffing around. Do the usual suspects know much about him?

Grant Smith joined Bristol City last summer, he has'nt impressed at Ashton Gate either.

Did well at Swindon though, would like to see him here.
