<IMG src="/images/130916_Brighton_O'Brien_200x200.jpg" align="left" height="200px" width="200px" style="padding-right:10px;">Goalkeeper Liam O’Brien has signed a new contract to keep him at Brentford Football Club for the rest of the 2013/14 season. The goalkeeper joined The Bees in August on a three-month deal and signed a two-month extension in mid-November. That deal has now been extended until May 14. Liam, 22, has yet to make a First Team appearance for Brentford but has been an unused substitute on eight occasions, although he has been unavailable recently due to injury. He has played one game for Brentford’s Development Squad in the Under-21 Professional Development League.
Mark Warburton, Brentford FC Manager, said: “We are pleased to extend Liam's contract through until the end of the season and this gives him the opportunity to both fully recuperate following his recent surgery and, more importantly, continue to impress the staff with his application and technical ability. He will provide important cover to David Button and Richard Lee whilst young Jack Bonham continues his development out on loan at Arlesey Town.
