Seeing as they were 12 points closer to relegation than being champions, I couldn't believe they pulled it off. Hats off to them.

Posts relating to the qualification for next season have been merged with the earlier thread that was still kicking around.

Any idiot could also see that Liverpool didn't have a hope in hell at coming back from 3-0 down. Whatever lies Benitez told about Liverpool still being in with a chance at half-time (although of course they turned out not to be lies) are what earned Benitez his pay and deservedly so!

he picked Kewell and allowed Milan to dominate the game :fishing:

Found a wicked Liverpool pub in Balham and damn well went through every emotion during the game. Liverpool supporter for 33 years and a Bees fan for the last 10.

Having been to Cardiff twice and Wembley once with the Bees which didn't leave me with fond memories, I hope that one day I can re-live last night's feeling's with Brentford.

Keep the faith mate.
Upwards and Onwards.

Glad Liverpool did it for you yesterday. It was one hell of a game and Carragher should be given the freedom of the city. Thought he had an immense game (as did a few other Liverpool players)

Adrian didn't go in the end ! Bet he wished he had though.
Tamer went and had a great time. Wish I'd gone with him now and regret saying I wasn't really interested when he offered me a ticket !

i thought Shevchenko was meant to be a bit decent? that penalty, to keep them in the game, was just embarassing...

That may have not been very good - but the rest of his match was pretty impressive- albeit, he somehow managed to not score from 2 yards out...

dunno, i've gone off him since he headbutted that inter defender and got away with it... still think he was shooting for the 2nd milan goal too...

Just got back (had some work out there and managed to get tickect for a lot of money)

Absolutely superb occassion, great atmosphere, amazing match but crap venue

Scousers just wanted to win the second half, what emotions we all went through dudeck was a **** then great, Gerrard was poor then great, Milan were great then crap, Carrigher was just great and Kewell was just crap

Best ever football match that I will probably ever witness and it beats Blackburn in 5th round, Exeter at home (my first Bees promotion), Fulham at home before Peterborough game, purely for it had everything a) the real BIG occassion, b) atmosphere, c) more ups and downs that you know what, d) getting hugs from scousers without getting my wallet snatched

also chatted to Ray Wilkins who is an absolute fantastic bloke
