It was a torn thigh muscle injury. Well that was the original diagnosis I heard. If it turned out to be a groin injury, then it was way off the mark.

Well, there have been some good times. It's just that by comparison with most other team's good times ours are not really that good. I'm looking forward to Lloyd's return. Our new tactic of passing the ball should suit him as it did in his first stint at GP. He had no chance under MA with the ball in the air so much as he is not a target man and is not a particularly good header of the ball. His asset is his speed which, presuming he returns to full fitness, could make all the difference in the run in to this season.

We need Lloyd back big time. Ok, his goalscoring record wasn't that great last season, but I would be interested to know how many assists he had also. How many games this season has the opposition back 4 had an easy time against our front two, one thing you can't deny is that Lloyd will run his n*ts off for 90minutes, and the centre backs will know come full time that they have been in a game.

Even though his form was variable last season, on that form you would surely play him ahead of Willock or Wijnhard (based on the latter's current fitness). A forward line of Owusu and Kuffour, with decent support, would be pretty good at this level - perhaps not on a par with combinations from Holt/Tyson/ Agogo or Knight/Trundle/Akinfenwa/Fallon that the wealthier clubs can afford, but between them I think they could manage 30-35 goals in a full season
