Have you lost a bespoke 9ft x 5ft flag? It's in excellent condition. If it's yours, you'd have been grieving for it for a very long time.

To reclaim it, you'll need to answer the following:

Roughly, what year do you think you lost it in? Which game might you have been at when you last had it with you? Where do you think you were when you last saw it? Can you describe the flag? Best of all, do you happen to have a photograph of the flag?

I am keen to return it to its rightful owner. If it's yours, when you get in touch, all will be explained how and why I have only come across it now.

You want an answer to that question, Banana.

First, the missing flag is not in my possession.

Second, I only heard of the lost flag yesterday (the 24th).

Third, the person who has it for safekeeping has made some enquiries and effort to get it back to its owner, but hasn't had any response to his emails.

Fourth, the person who has got it has had it in their possession for just under a month.

Fifth, when I heard about the flag I immediately made the suggestion to publicise it on here and all the FB groups. The ST holder who has it is not on FB or on here, so I said I would do it on his behalf.

Sixth, after your comment, I question myself should I have really bothered?

Lastly, could you apologise for slagging me off when I have gone to a lot of time and effort to do my absolute best to get it back to its rightful owner? This includes promptly responding to messages and chancers.

The owner of the flag will be given a full explanation on why its taken so long. It is an unusual story, with hopefully a happy ending.

I lost my flag, or it was stolen from Ascoli away in the AIC in 1992.

BRENTFORD FC across the middle, and B F C in the top right, and bottom left and bottom right corners. Top left was blank.

I only took it to a couple of games Bolton away was certainly one Ascoli was the last time it made an appearence.

Not really mate. If the flag is half decent I’d just claim it was mine, to be honest ? That worked at Sainsburys the other week when the shop worker held up some keys and asked if anyone had lost them in aisle 34.

Fife Bees flag is at every game you lunatic ? Including the last one, against Forest. Unfortunately it wasn’t in its normal place as some clown got there first and put a big Hampton Court Cricket Club St George’s flag where the Fife one normally goes ?
