Luke Burge RIP

Just found that out my good pal and devoted Brentford fan Luke has sadly passed away. He has been in a hospice the last few weeks. He was diagnosed with a brain tumour a few years ago and unfortunately it had come back. He turned 40 at the end of May just gone.

Not sure if any on here knew him, I'd only become acquainted with him a couple of years back through a love of the Bees and the occasional cheeky curry but he could talk for England and if the topic of conversation was Brentford, there was little to stop him.

I knew he'd had a relapse and wasn't well the last game i saw him at, but i've been hoping the last couple of home games to see him walk down the stairs to his seat.

He was just a lovely lad and i'm a bit lost for words right now it's just very sad.

With his girlfriends blessing, for anyone who wishes to pay their respects, I can say Luke's send off will be on Wednesday at Mortlake Crematorium at 1520.
