M4 Cup ??

After Swansea trip on the coach got me thinking, one road the M4 stretches right across from London as far as Swansea, and along the way noticing all the football clubs just off the M4.
I know pre season has gone but got me thinking, M4 cup next pre season not really on topic obviously with season started.
But could include:
Brentford
Reading
Cardiff
Swansea
Swindon
Bristol
And even Newport maybe.

I know its off topic really with season started but thought i might as start thread even if it doesnt get any replies.

M4 Cup ??

It's no dafter idea than a Kent County Challenge Cup (in 1976) with Brentford, Millwall, Aldershot, Gillingham and Luton!!!!!

M4 Cup ??

would seem silly as thier is the emirites cup, amsterdam tournement and the feyoonord thing.... dont think the m4 cup would fit in very well.

and Slough Town (wherever they happen to be playing at the time), Windsor and Eton, Hayes...

you've got to have little games in pre-season as well as league ones...

i like this idea a lot actually.

M4 Cup ??

Whilst they are not exactly on the M4, maybe throw Hereford and Yeovil to make the numbers up to eight teams. Silly me I forgot that there are two teams in Bristol.

Sounds like fun, but i agree that it probably wont be taken up. Full marks to Lingfieldbee though for an innovative idea. Also, and i am sure Lingfield thought of this as well, by its very nature it will encourage good away support as well.

M4 Cup ??

Why don't we just play Hampton and Staines again

M4 Cup ??

As long as no one suggests an M25, cup to include every team within the ring road ?

M4 Cup ??

I'm a Reading fan. just popped on your board to see how Hamer and Benett are getting on, but personally I think this is a great idea especially now the teams are split over four divisions. We usually play Maidenhead and Didcot preseason and they are always good fun. That said I can't see it happening, if we did take part we would no doubt send reserves as thats what our preseason is usually like.

M4 Cup ??

I know we have hovered around the bottom two professional leagues for a long time, but we are not 4 leagues apart. There is just 1 division between our ones (League 1).
