Madrid

I'm going to be in Madrid for the Everton game. Having booked the flight for Monday on the stupid assumption that it would never be moved to then!

Any recommendations for bars etc.

The Irish Rover by the Bernabeu is very decent and shows soccerball. Bit of a shift out from the city centre though so you may need to double check the metro is running.

I'm going to Real on the Tuesday. So will go then. A few others have said this place is really good.

Also going to Aleti on the Wednesday. Thats the purpose of the trip!

we went on a city break a few years back . There's a huge central covered market thing that serves tapa's and drinks . Get there around 5 ish when locals get out of work ,its a great place and atmosphere I decided to also find the oldest tapa's bar in Madrid , or Spain or summing .Its tiny , packed , no one spoke English and I got called a Gringo
