Man City Programme

I guess the club don’t want to waste printing and not selling them. FWIW I was going to buy one. Saw the lad on the bridge without any so didn’t bother to go looking.

I bet there is a higher demand then Varney and co realise.
I now only buy the last home game of the season, as I am sure many others do. Pretty obvious that edition you need more than usual

Man City Programme

The number of sellers has been significantly reduced, there were three last season between Kew Bridge and the seller at south stand entrance, now only the one at the south stand entrance.

They also need to look at the card machines, each time the seller is having to type in the amount, they need fixed price devices that don't seek approval each time. There is a risk that a payment won't go through later
What would help is you give someone the card machine and he walks up the queue with said machine and takes the money/payment.
He issues a token.
A small piece of plastic like a tesco one and you hand that to the boy/girl/non binary and he/she/? who gives you the programme.
Obviously you dont have to do this if there are no queues, but we can eliminate them by thinking ahead and working with the purchaser and not against them.

Man City Programme

Also.
How do you become a programme seller at Brentford ?
Serious question.
My 15 year old could do with a part time job.

Good idea, it would make the process a lot quicker for sure but don't see it happening.

At least they could get the card machines set to £4 and multiples of 4. One or two taps as appose to them typing in the amount each time

I would suggest just ringing the clubs main number, and ask to speak to the HR or recruiting department. I gave this advice to a friends son and they were very helpful, and I believe he got an interview for a role.

Nice one and thank you

Normally, yes; Sunday, no.

I got mine Sunday in the North Stand at the outside merchandise stand about 10 mins before kick off. Not sure what it was like after the game (although that particular concession is closed after the game).

Man City Programme

And they need more programme sellers!!!
I think the club think they need more fans to get to the existing programme sellers. If that’s the case, the proposal is they need better in-your-face maps on front of each booth which simply show where the other outlets are.

or as has been suggested above, a couple of extra people to double up on the South Stand and Bridge queues for final 30 minutes before a game. Or to act as a signposter to other outlets.

Mine arrived today and it is damaged.
The envelope had been opened too.
Not happy obviously so i sent an email saying what a wonderful service you provide, but today it is crap.
Have now bought one from eBay.
Reach Sports, who have normally been very good, will have their one sent back once the other one arrives.
Reach apologised profusely and sent me another one in the post.
This one arrived in a jiffy envelope which was very difficult to open.

3 of em now.

So, your complaint was that the first one had been opened. Another arrives in an envelope that is not so easy to open. What would be your optimum packaging solution for your programme?

A cardboard envelope would be brilliant.
Love those.

Not complaining by the way.
Just describing the packaging

Fully agree with all the programme issues this season, not just at Brentford, but away too. The easiest tends to be the ‘big’ clubs, Tottenham aside, but assume this was due to potentially being Kane’s last match at the Lane.

My programme requirement has become a bit of a joke amongst our group, the anxiety I have to get one: Southampton had to ask at the VIP entrance post-match… Tottenham got the last one from the food sellers inside… Gillingham (h) involved an early morning trek to the club shop… Everton, Villa had to go to the club shop post-match... Countless home games my other half has gone to the ground early to secure me one.

Point is. It seems they want them to go away, by making it a self-fulfilling prophecy that they don’t drive positive revenue. The problem is with everything going digital, there’s nothing tangible from the match anymore. I have all my programmes from all matches I’ve been to since 1987 (where clubs produce them). I don’t want this to stop. I have my first programme, I think kids should have this opportunity too.
This is me. I stressed until one arrived from eBay last Thursday! Have got one for every match since March 1980 when I first stepped in to GP and don't want to miss out. My kids (now adults) just don't understand and have never read my copy.

Mine finally arrived on Saturday 3rd. The black plastic envelope was dated 26 May. I live 4.5 miles away as the crow flies - approx 7.5 km. That programme travelled to me at around 15% of the speed of a Galapagos giant tortoise (which can apparently travel at .3 km an hour).

There were a generous few left over in the match officials changing rooms on Wednesday.

My shiny new Brentford Binders arrived today £12.50 each, DHL delivery well worth the £4.95 postage. By the way, anyone who wants to stump up £90ish for the whole 22/23 season, can have 2 free binders and free postage!

So they arrived, but what to do with them? No “instructions” so I had a go to move 19 home programmes from my shoebox into the awaiting shiny things. Away and cup ones can wait their turn!

After a LOT of trial and error, here is my step-by-step guide!:

1. 1st clue, if the club offer is 2 free binders for the season, best not squeeze 19 into one.
2. Each programme has to be somehow fitted around one or more vertical poles. There’s far too many poles, they are far too thin and bendy, and the holes they slot into are fairly small.
3. There are 4 mouth shaped holes, top and bottom, so if 9-10 programmes per Binder, then perhaps do not more than 3-4 programmes in each hole.
4. The only way to get the programmes into the binder that I could work out, was by
a) removing all the poles - gently pull them out!
b) place one pole in the middle pages of your 1st programme
c) start at end of season or start of season, your choice!
d) with the programme shut around the pole, place the bottom end of the pole into the bottom hole
e) then with the programme slightly opened, gently bend the top end of the pole into the top hole

It really was that fiddly - and took about 15 mins for 9 programmes! Enjoy!

Is 4(f) then place in loft & leave there until moving house ? ?

Man City Programme

I take it that it is Reach Sports that produces these now. I looked at their website but couldn't see the Man City programme available on there, but it may be that I was looking in the wrong place, If there are potentially still some available through them, does anyone have the right link to them please?

Alternatively would the club have any left over?

I have just checked on the club shop on the official site for you, and they are “sold out”. But they must have some to fulfill their whole of season collections - so may be worth giving them a call.

Thanks. I'll probably give them a bell tomorrow.

Obviously. It's easy to get one, as long as you aren't "the average fan"

Can’t really see how this would save much time. The guy taking the payment and handing over a token might just as well be taking the payment and handing over a programme.

Two pairs of hands makes the job go quicker.
Especially if they are on the ball.

The other binders were better, like a wallet so you just slip them in. But they don't sell them anymore :(
