Management Selection Process
Where do they hold the inteveiws?
...by the bollox...until their eyes water and they shout out that they give in
Where do they hold the inteveiws?
was this at the petrol garage round the corner from where smiffy works?Basically coz I asked her last year to her face and she laughed and said she's never even heard of Brentford. "What's Brentford??"
was this at the petrol garage round the corner from where smiffy works?

oh and by details i meant that surely that's a detail and we should get her in. that wasn't very clear. i'm not at my best today.
As I said in an earlier thread, the best recruitment is done in private.

No, I'm afraid this genuinely happened
She doesn't support us so I guess she won't ever give us any money either![]()
Recruit in private by all means but no communication to the fans for 3 days after he has left. Thats just piss poor.

I think it's more important for the club to prepare for the Wrexham game![]()

I just started a thread about the lack of communication from either Board (BFC or BU) about what is happening but surprise surprise some stroppy full of himself moderator closed it in a very rude and abrupt manner. Oh well, if they can't tell the difference between debating communication failings and debating who the new manager is thats not my problem.

Most clubs can manage communication with their fanbase AND preparation for games. They just have different people doing it ! Are BU also preparing for the game, if not whats their excuse for absolutely zero comment.
Mind you, we aren't most clubs are we. We are infinitely worse at just about every process than most clubs.
Is that because we are a fan owned club or maybe we are just crap at everything.

so who do you think should be sacked for this abhorrent crime..?
to be honest, I have been kept fully in touch with the current process, being a BU member and all that![]()
Very disappointing, but all down to Allen in my view. It was there for the taking, yet he seemingly didn't have the bottle to go for it and insisted on trying to hold 1-0 leads for 85 minutes all the time. And given the way he had chosen to spend the money given to him (Newman and Willock rather than a new contract for Tabb), do you think that giving him more money guaranteed anything other than a larger hole in the books? He knew the score, he knew there was no more money to give him. After the sucess he brought us on the pich - fair enough, we fell disappointingly short at the end - maybe he felt entitled to more.
i lost a post earlier. strange times.I think I've just lost a post re MA?

I agree that the lack of leadership and communication is absolutely appalling, but its a BFC matter, not a BU one. I blame Dyke.Don't you ever get tired of toeing the party line............?
Good to know that those in the incrowd get told these things by Chinese whispers though. I think you will find that my lack of information is less to do with me no longer being in BU and more to do with BU and BFC not communicating properly with its fans.(or members).
I await a barrage of replies from other BU members who are in the know through some back door method of information.
Your statement above is an absolutely appalling indictment of the methods of communication used by BU but that is hardly a surprise is it.
The silence from the Boards of both BFC and BU is deafening.[/I]
He only wanted £50k - as Willock was the man he wanted to replace DJ.We'd kill to even have a 1-0 lead to try and hang on to since he has been gone.
Point about Allen's weakness is well made though, although in his defence the failure to make hardly any of the sale proceeds of Campbell available for the squad despite being told "he didn't HAVE to be sold" means that others are also culpable for us bottling it between Feb and April 2006.

And he still had a year on his contract when he walked out on us.
Well Smiffybee has just told us that his mates in BU are keeping him informed every step of the way. Shame they aren't providing the same service for the vast majority of their members.

I didnt say that![]()
I thnk we should get Cameron Diaz in. She'd be a good manager. AND she is a Brentford supporter - she told someone that only a few days ago.
consider this a warning of the COC
Code of Conduct madam
how official sounding. what's that then?
. I am not sure the BFC board have formulated or agreed a process yet. Unless they are going with "last year's model"
I wouldnt have expected much news to come out until Sunday or Monday...when more applicants may appear out of the woodwork.

You need to get out more.![]()

Mark is now an expert and recite any point from the CoC upon request
See how other clubs don't feel obliged to keep their fans entirely in the dark.

Ad infinitum. In fact there were statements virtually every few days thereafter until someone was appointed.
Still, I'm sure our "don't tell em' anyfing" approach will appeal to some !
