Manager Position

Please post your thoughts here on how you would like to see Brentford move forward if Andy Scott left the club.

Manager Position

I would bring back Martin Allen on a short-term contract until the end of the season. After that, I don't know.

Manager Position

Mr M.Allen. I want to be in love again.......the cheating bitch !!

Manager Position

Martin til end of the season then assess it but id like to see Chris hughton

Manager Position

The board had a chance to bring in a new man before the transfer window, it's a bloody mess! we are not going to be in the play-offs this season get use to that! MA must be a firm favourite but I'd like to see the club get brave by asking Alex Inglethorpe....

Manager Position

MA restore some pride and leadership and passion. Bring back the fans and deja vu "great escape".

Manager Position

martin Allen until the end of the season.

He would raise attendances and give some pride back to the fans

Martin Allen with Nicky Forster until the end of the season, good shout Alex Inglethorpe.

Why would hughton be interested in us, bigger club hed get easily. MA for me as u know he would give the club a massive pick me up and given a good squad and some money in the summer could go really well

Manager Position

I would like a manager like Coppell or Curbishley who can build a club to move us forward.

Manager Position

I can't believe that people would appoint Martin Allen without even attempting to find out if Chris Hughton is bored and wants an interesting challenge. He would be my choice. If (as he probably would) he turns it down, Allen is in the mix.

I'm not anti Allen - before angry from wiltshire comes on ;) - but I just think that there are other options.

Manager Position

I don't think Allen is the answer but why do people want to insult him with a short term contract ?

Either he is worthy or not ?

Manager Position

Who are the realistic choices? I have seen names like Hughton, Coppell, Curbishley etc bandied around on here who are very very unlikely candidates. Not that I am really in the know when it comes to League 1 standard managers, but it doesnt seem like we have much of a choice.

I wouldn't mind seeing Martin Allen back... it would certainly please a lot of people on here, but at the same time it could tarnish his name if he goes the same way as AS. They say never to look back dont they?

Others have suggested Forster possibly as a interim, but even then I see a conflict of interests within the team.

The board needs to have a real think about the candidates, I dont want to see Allen back purely because he is the first name that springs to mind.

Manager Position

Hughton for me if not MA until end of season.

Manager Position

Martin Allen in tomorrow, then both sides can review at the end of the season, plus he'll put 1000 on the gate on Saturday. It just makes sense.

Manager Position

Martin Allen till the EOS see how we do and decide on our long term future in May/June time. Up the Bees!

Manager Position

Coppel and Houghton are completely unrealistic IMO

there is no reason why they would come back to brentford in its current state. Brentford is the only club that allen could get himself back into management again, his reputation for being shall we say "eccentric" would mean other clubs won't go near him.

a good shout but I think he'll get money working for sky than us lol

Manager Position

After many years now of watching fairly turgid football while I secretly envied supporters of teams as unfashionable as Rochdale and Bournemouth, I would dearly love us to take a chance on appointing someone who will play a passing and entertaining game. A Kevin Keegan of the lower leagues.

I don't have a clue really who that person is although I'm fairly sure it ISN'T Martin Allen.

That isn't to say I wouldn't take MA back in a caretaker role until the end of the year, trouble with doing that is if he keeps us up then the job is his and the turgidity continues.

It certainly is a dilemma. I like the way Forster speaks about the game and would be happy to see him given a few games in charge while we take stock and see who is available as opposed to rushing to offer the position to MA.

That said nothing is worse than the alternative of staying as we are.

Giving the job to Bully would also send out the wrong signals IMHO.

Manager Position

I wouldn't mind seeing Gary Johnson. He knows the division and at least his teams play attacking football. And he was touting for a job on Soccer AM the other week :sorted:

Manager Position

Please not MA the nearly man -Chris Hughton or the like for me -we need a forward looking manager -returns very rarely work.

Manager Position

Bring in MA immediately will be a big boost to everybody concerned.

Manager Position

Wise? Never, we are too small, for even a small nasty bloke.
Martin Allen? I'd love it. But has way too little fans on the board. Never going to happen.
They were interested in Holdsworth, but kept Scott in place just a few weeks too long.
Assuming they do the right thing tonight. We are gonna have to start from scratch.
Hence Foz as temp.

Manager Position

A manager who would make it enjoyable at BFC again, a manager who can get the most out of players, a manager who has a genuine affection for the club and a manager who would make you proud to support BFC again......................:sorted:

Totally agree with all of the above.

Manager Position

If AS goes then please let him take Bullivant with him. Never seen this guy contribute anything even when he played for us.

Manager Position

Curbishley, Hughton, Coppell, Johnson and MA.

Anyone of these 5 would suit me down to the ground...

I do feel Johnson and MA are the only realistic people on this list though...But wouldn't argue about either personally!!!

Manager Position

Let's hope the board at least had the foresight to prepare a list ready to act should the demise have come quicker than they expected, i.e tonight

I take it your refering to me Les. I bet overall in life I'm a lot happier than you. You choose who you like Les. I know your feelings towards meand you don't like me. never mind mate i still love you:love2: I think we should keep hold of Scotty:sorted:

Manager Position

I remember asking Chris Hughton if he fancied being our manager when we we were going through the trauma of Leroy and he said no. I doubt whether that has changed. MA seemed very positive when he was on Sky the other week and I am sure he would jump at the chance. Would Greg Dyke have him back, if he did it would have to be on his terms and I can see a clash of personalities?

Manager Position

Martin Allen is EXACTLY what we need right now.
He would be perfect to re-install the passion and belief.
And i think people are right about the effect it would have on attendances, I've been twice so far this season, bring back MA and I won't miss another fixture.

Manager Position
