In all my years of supporting Brentford, I’ve seen most of the legends .. Bowles, Hurlock, Deano etc .. but Marcus Bean is one of my favourite ever players (along with SS) good honest pro and a great player for us at the time .. really hope he has successful ex-footballer life

Hard not to like Marcus really. Honest pro who gave everything when he played. Made the most of his career and fully deserved to make it to 500 pro appearances.

Played a big part in the 2009 league title winning season and deserves another good career now he’s retired.

Ridiculously cold day. Kept on expecting it to be called off whilst we were on the way up north.
I’ve just looked and 24 FL and PL games were called off for frozen pitches that day.

It was indeed, but ended up being a valuable point. Bowditch got one that day I think? Lincoln had just signed someone on loan who worried me in the build up to the game...times have changed!!
