Peters will be class, i didnt like him at the start of his career much but i didnt shout abuse or anything (mainly because he wasnt playing). But i am very confident he will score goals, he is still young and looks a lot better than when he first arrived. Shows the bees can help some players improve! He should use the Owusu celebration or something along those lines because he will score a few next year!

I rate the bloke, have done for most of last season. It drove me mad not seeing him on the pitch while Mac was given more than enough time to prove what we all knew.

Even when the opportunity to play him came, Wally didn't.

He has managed 4 goals in preseason, with an understrength midfield. With the a stronger midfield and a good partner up front, we will see 25+ goals from him this season.

While I am delighted to see him take his chance, I have a lot of sympathy for the position that Wally was in last season.

I seem to remember Mark having a disciplinary record similar to that of Stephen Evans and signs of an "attitiude" during last pre-season. This must have limited his chances to show the management what he could do.

In my opinion the lad is class. The way he took is 2nd goal on Saturday was awesome. If we can sign a decent strike partner for him he will definitely bag 20+ goals this season.

I know Mark has a diciplinary record that is/was a bit clourful to say the least, but why put him on the bench if you have no intention of playing him?

I seem to recall the LDV game against Cambridge, Mac had run his course and we needed fresh legs. Peters was on the bench and stayed there. He couldn't even get the last 15 minutes. It was criminal. Is it any wonder that he had an attitude?

Be amazed if he doesn't score 15 this season, bloke looks like a natural finisher with skill and makes some decent runs. All he needs is a reasonable strike partner to ensure there is a double threat up front.

I think Mark could be a Bees legend given a chance, but worryingly having spoken to two people very close to Mark after the game on Saturday, it seems that perhaps Wally doesn't seem to like Mark, keeps complaining he isn't match fit but only plays him now and then for twenty minutes or so also, to quote, "because He's a quiet lad who's a bit of a loner" Wally goes around calling hin "wierdo".

This does not bode well for the future, if Wally signs
Peter Beadle and Darius Henderson i wouldn't be surprised if Mark spends another season on the bench.

I hope i'm wrong and have been misinformed, but we all know Wally has his foibles.

if its true please Wally swallow your pride, pick the team around Mark Peters and Jay Tabb and we could go far.

season up front and to get at least a dozen games

i don't think i'd be the only one to be dismayed
if wally brings in both beadle and henderson and puts
peters back on the bench

If Wally doesnt make Mark the first name on the team sheet, injuries permitting,then serious questions need answering to his ability to manage the team.Hopefully the above posting is not true,it would appear so far in pre season that he has been a favourite choice.Lets hope that continues .

The bloke could be class given half a chance. From the odd 20 minute burst I saw of him last year he's got a bit of pace, a decent first touch and he can finish too. Surely all the attributes of a 20 goal a season striker??

Conpletely agree, we would have to sign two very good players in the next few days to justify him not playing next Saturday, and from then on.
