Anyone know what happened to Mark Williams after he was released by Barnet?
There are a number of former Bees who seem to have vanished.

Unless I'm confusing him with someone else, I seem to remember reading that he and Jay Smith had set up a business as personal trainers or something of that sort (but this would be 3-4 years ago)

Williams was a really good player who just seemed to go off the boil, he was then released and the lower the level the harder it got. It can be like that for some players.

We’ve had much, much worse than Williams.
He showed promise and good ability, but he didn’t seem strong enough physically for the robust nature of lower league footy and flitted in and out of games. I remember a few games in the Coppell season where he came off the bench and skipped easily past players - though Coppell always seemed to use him as a last resort, or if the game was won. The few games I saw in which he started he was anonymous.

Looked promising for a few games, until opposing full-backs realised he always did the same thing, and then it was too easy for them to deal with him. Have seen a lot worse, but his potential didn't last long... at least not at Lge One level
