Match Day

I love it. I see and read the frustration but nothing can beat a trip to GP, especially under lights and even more so when, imo, we have a bright young team to watch - although I accept they need to learn quicker. This team will never get close to some of the dark days we have had in the last few years - honest lads with no little talent who will always give you something during a game.

Clayton hat trick tonight will help. :sorted:

You are right Les for all my many reservations about Uwe I must admit seeing the likes of Harry, Forshaw, Harlee, Bidwell etc is an exciting prospect and the management deserve credit for that alone. The fact that it's an evening kick off against one of the bigger teams in our division (albeit one in crisis) whom we haven't played for years and who will have a decent following makes this a game to look forward to. Let's hope we have a good game with a bit of atmosphere and a positive result to put us back on track.

I cant stand weeknight games. Battling through rush hour traffic to get to TW8, the cold, poor attendences and crap atmosphere. saturday 3pm is far better :owusu:

Dinner in The Globe at 5pm with the boys,
you can't beat a decent midweek game.
Looking forward to tonight plus my 20% BIAS discount off the food bill:sorted:

Les what were you drinking at 10.29 this morning? CD hat trick! All 3 goals will come from midfield.......

Spot on. Night games, especially cup ties and/or when the away lot bring a few too are much anticipated by this poster.
I've been looking forward to tonight for ages.

A CD hat trick would be very helpful for the Noise Abatement Society. ;)

Night games is what it's really all about. I much prefer them to Saturday games, not entirely sure why but there's just something about them.

Tonight however I worry our team will suffer from the pressure a little bit and may look a little nervous, based on how recent games have gone. I hope not but worry it could affect us, especially if we go ahead.

Looking forward to it though, would be great if we won and a good stepping stone going forward.

Match Day

Coventry's last few games have yielded the same results (in terms of win / lose / draw) as ours, although our home record is good and their away not so good.

So whilst I don't think we can expect it to be easy (despite their low league position)(and bearing in mind the improvement since MR took over), hopefully we should win tonight.

In theory it should be "easier" to win on Saturday, but of course historically we have often struggled against "lower" teams.

A couple of early goals in both games are what we all need!!

Disagree - I LOVE night games under the lights, a bit of light rain and mist... something to look forward to after a day at work...

Alright for some easy job and lots of money to splash on midweek eating out :D whilst some of us are slogging our way across London just to make kick-off:wave:

I used to love night games at GP.

Since moving to Hants though, they've become a chore. I'd have had to take a day off work to attend this evening, spent thirty odd quid on petrol plus the usual expenses and the traffic on the M3 northbound is a nightmare in the early evening.

Getting in at 11.30pm is not great either, especially when you have to be up at 5am the following day for an early shift.

I do miss it though.....

I used to love them. Now work means I struggle. Currently at waterloo waiting so will miss first 20. ****ING work
