It's more that Rasmus epitomises everything that scares them, plus he's an easy target. He's foreign, part of FCM, knows about football, has a high-profile career outside the game, is very smart, has ambition and a pony tail... and is MB's friend. Everything they're not.

:(

Wish i could have one.........................

Got half way through and got bored, does he work for Sky TV by any chance. What a completely moronic piece.

Started to lose my interest when he appeared to bemoan the loss of Big Nick

Matthew Benham

I'm sure you'll find a friend one day, hang in there.

Im trying but its so quiet on here, i wonder why??

Oh hold fire i know....................... We picked up 3 points on Sat and the team played quite well including Saunders

My god imagine what it will be like if we beat Leeds. :)

Perhaps Mr Bruzon & co can openly admit that the team proved a point on Saturday and yes had to put up with a couple of idiots near us moaning about Swift,Barbet,Colin and then "Benham need's to sort this mess out"....... get a friggin life.....you know who you are,why travel all the way up there to sit and friggin moan about players and our owner and HIS staff?
Then we get back to the pub near the station and there they are again, huddled round a table, saying we was lucky.........kin 'el..........best thing was when they saw the team bus at the lights, they quickly left to see the players at the station..............thank feck I was staying in Blackpool and not on that train!!.

I am on the best trip of my 55 years of supporting, thank you Mr B.......it can and will get even better..............trouble is while more support will be welcome,we all know that success will also bring the moaner's!............anyway back to recuperating!

Can you imagine if Benham decides to pack it all in? 30 years from now, fans will be saying that the best years supporting Brentford would have been under Benham's tenure. We mustn't have regrets. We must appreciate what we have.

The way I look at it is as if you have the most amazing missus, beautiful, trim, does the housework, puts food on the table, and then gives you a baby. Perfect life. However, she's going through a bit of post-natal depression, and then you start moaning like mad, because she's "gone off the boil" slightly. Sorry, not me. I'd back the missus every time. And yes, Brentford is about as important to me as my "missus" (if I had one anymore).

Matthew Benham

I think some of the other posts are really good but for the sake of the tw*tter Have a Go heroes it really is simple....

Have you got a spare 100 million?

Think you can do better?

Make MB an offer and have the courage of your convictions...

Until that's the case then STFU and enjoy the adventure.

Plus ca change plus ca change...

Matthew Benham

MB, Rasmus, Giles and CC must have had an idea about the backlash from certain quarters.......................... What they couldn't legislate for i suppose would be the injury crisis, pitchgate, and a few players wanting out. We will rebuild and go again and i for one will think we will be stronger in the next 1-2 seasons for it. All the players here will have been signed to buy into the project. MB has built one great side and he will build us another one.

I keep being told by everyone on Facebook that MW built the squad....

... with his bare hands...

I]There have been too many cock ups this season though, from the pitch, the silence of the club on bids, Jota's loan out through to the decision to release the statement about JT an hour before the game. It's a 1980's operation in a digital, media savvy age. .

I think it is potentially the complete opposite. In this world of social media we are extremely careful of what is said, we only speak out when there is something concrete to say. Of all your above examples the only one i would question is the JT one before kick off last week. We saw an update on jota on the day it was all signed, sealed and delivered. We get updates on all transfer activity when it is done and dusted.

I never understand why people think they should have a bat phone that goes straight through to Benham or the DoF's every time the slightest bit of rumour or gossip appears in that awful bloody social media you are so keen on just so they can update, confirm or deny things that are quite likely just not going on anyway. They do not have to answer to speculation and have made it a policy not to speak about anything until it is a done deal, why can't you accept and just be happy with that?

Matthew isn't going to pull out of the club because a group of facebook morons having a go at him and the club....equally fans shd be able to constructively say their piece without constantly being told we'd be in the non league without Matthew which possibly could be true but if we make a dud signing then surely we can say so?

I think you've missed the point. It is the constant undermining and not specific comments about one player.

And you have only your own hope the MB will not pull out.

Of course. Benham probably thinks the same - it's not an exact science.

I think the reaosn is that deep in their hearts people know we arent getting relegated and not going up so a win isnt as crucial as other times in other seasons so less to get properly excited about.

Moaning also comes easier

What are you on about, I'm always suggesting that players aren't good enough or the right fit, I'm not alone in that but I don't feel the need to squeal about players leaving, wanting my Brentford back, the ponytail or telling MB to do one, MB no doubt expects a fair bit of sh*t but this season has been proper weird and OTT from the squealers.

Mr B, if you are reading I have doubts about KK, Vibe, Gogia, Hoff and Josh, I have sadly put a squiggle against Jack but won't care if they come good and promise not to threaten to chuck it in if we sell players that I do like, I like Smith and hope he becomes a legend but the Walsall game was hard to watch after a similar crappy one at Brum which I think he messed up with. You can say stuff about the squad and management without appearing to be desperate, we've had desperate times IMO, now isn't one of them IMO.

So that would be just about all the pre-season summer signings then NB - just saying. I actually think they will all be fine with the passing of a little time and experience.

Indeed, some haven't settled, some haven't had the time on the pitch to prove one way or another but we're 10th and after all the disruption, that's pretty damn good, is it not?:sorted::sorted:

I don't think MB would have a problem with 'constructive' feedback but to constantly read that you're a **** and don't know what your ****ing doing and how you've destroyed everything from last season etc must get a bit tiresome.

Matthew Benham

Timely reminder to self of ...

a) some people do appreciate that without MB we'd be looking UP to Leyton Orient
b) why I now rarely write 'blog's. In fact I don't ever wrote 'blogs'. I write the rare 'article'! ;)

... Just to add I do often enjoy reading other people's blogs on the Bees. I just remember getting some criticism for one I was writing (elsewhere) fairly regularly. I stopped when I realised the criticism was completely justified and I agreed with it!

Not on here but the personal stuff on Twitter, the self indulgent nobodies who blog and get reassurance from 3 men and their dog to carry on the good fight. The strange thing is that Nick Bruzon feels detached, get your arse up to Perston and you'll see real unity, I'm still buzzing off it all now, none of us were as important as we were when we crap but the football is from a different level.

Now you mention Nick Bruzon I asked him twice yesterday if he went to Preston and no response so I take it its a no.Checked out his blog and he rarely gets more than 6 replies and when it went into double figures at the weekend I get the impression from his Twitter posts that he thinks he's now famous.Might be wrong but I get the impression he's another of the "just my opinion" brigade with a big axe to grind after being no longer on the inside.

To be fair to Nick Bruzon I usually read and like his stuff - it's never too heavy and his style is pretty easy to digest. I suspect he may have been miffed that we've sold Toums but I suspect he's in a relatively small minority about that.

I got blocked by one of the TITS brothers on Twitter when they took exception to a reply to one of their tweets during the Derby game and as much as I respect them both I genuinely don't understand their negativity about the club and everything post Warburton - I'd love to have a sensible debate with them but I suspect they just don't like the way things are and it's much more emotional rather than logical.

I think the shame is that our owner has removed himself from Twitter/Facebook when reading occasional posts/updates from him and interviews on here were always good value.

As for those FB groups the less said the better...

A lot of the criticism is knee jerk, not constructive and sometimes personal though.
If the bedwetters could back up their bleats, or understand sensible replies it would be an improvement.

I think he's pretty thick skinned but if every time you read your Twitter account you've got some spotty moron calling you a **** I think you might start to get a bit p1ssed off. Not enough to jack it in but enough to give yourself a break from Twitter and Facebook. The evidence speaks for itself.............!!!

I think it would be great if MB named and shamed the abusers (or even just the bellends) - let the proper fans (or disciples as some like to rudely say) let them know where they are going wrong :)

I think that for some people it is difficult to deal with the changes, both on and off the pitch. We are not the same Brentford as 5 years ago and will continuously evolve over the coming years. There will be many things that we like, but some things we won't, unfortunately the change we are going through its very difficult to cheery pick the nice bits and leave the bits we don't like alone. It is all or nothing. Whilst most of us rant about things now and then, we generally get it off our chest and move on sort of knowing deep down that in the long run it will be for the better. This is the way of the world rightly or wrongly, we cannot always influence this but if we don't move that will be the end of us. It could be that these individuals who had a bigger say/influence in the clubs fortunes in the past have been side lined, but rather change with the times have taken it personally. It is easy to look at our own personal situations and needs regarding the club but ultimately the needs and requirements of the club must always come first. You either fit in or drop out, but don't become bitter.....

Matthew Benham

I keep being told by everyone on Facebook that MW built the squad....

I gave up with the "Brentford" Facebook page after I lost patience with the bloke who wanted us to sign him from Ghana kept posting and the bloke who kept calling us Brantford.

All opinions are valid and in a one dimensional media should also be respected and not ganged up on. I don't like twitter and find it disgusting if MB has been abused on their. Facebook gives other options which are not sinister or wrong.

Bill what exactly is the 'inside?'. It's a phrase which is bandied around an awful lot and used to justify peoples opinions and just seems to create more division amongst fans. Obviously people talk to people who are well connected within the club etc, but how do they know that they are being given isn't a slant on things & then stating this as an absolute truth?

Re Nick Bruzon I don't know the guy at all, occasionally read his blogs which are quite amusing, don't particularly agree with his blog that has caused the massive furore but not sure he deserves the opprobrium that gone his way anymore than anyone else with an opinion contrary to the prevailing populist line....must admit the 'Just my opinion' Brigade is a new one...everyone has an opinion by definition don't they?

Seems to me there are lots of people in various 'camps' who spend most of there time grinding various axes.

Unless you've spoken to MB or know people who have its too easy to state he's successful and so finds it easy to ignore constant criticism and lies aimed at him and his strategy.
I trust and pray he won't decide enough but he has other interests so let's never get too complacent.
Everyone likes to be liked even if they say different, don't let anyone try and convince you otherwise.

Matthew Benham

One thing that annoys me, is the popular retort from those that do moan at the club these days of; "Benham is not above criticism". I have had it quoted back to me many times on Twitter, hear it on match day, and have seen it posed on here.

Do you know what? IMO, he f**king is!

Leave the media aside, they are entitled to poke their noses in if they wish and judge us, if anything that drives and unites us all. But there is not a single thing that Benham has done since taking over that has not been in the best interests of keeping this club alive and turning us in to a stable Premier League club one day.

Has he dodgy business interests? Been disqualified as owner? Imported a load of useless players and coaches from our 'sister' club? Spent millions on 34 year old + has beens on Premier League wages? Changed the colour of our kit? Changed our badge? Taken us to the brink of liquidation? Put a statue of a paedo up outside our ground? Allowed a manager to come in and sack nearly the entire back room team who had been at the club for decades before sacking the same manager a few months later? Built a 30k seater stadium with an average crowd of 8k? Hired Karl Robinson? Have an owner in prison?

All these things are happening at other clubs in our league, I mean, how bad is it really?

Matthew Benham

Some of the biggest morons that support our club also like and post on a Facebook page called "Brentford Loyal"
