Max Watters

Max Watters , young Crawley town striker (21yrs ) 15 goals from 17 games this season , i wonder if we are looking at him , could be one we could develop

January is looming, some desperate clubs out there.

Are you seriously implying the club would sell Ivan in the January window?
You don’t need stats or a justice league to see how bang average this division is this season.

Every player has his price, especially in difficult financial times, if someone offered 30 Million I
would be surprised if we held on to him.

I thought that someone at the club said that we wouldn't be selling any players in January. Or did I dream that?

Watters was released by Doncaster and has come from nowhere to score regularly for Crawley. He is tall, strong and rangy and good on the ball. He went off at half time on Saturday so maybe he is injured. Must be worth a look as I am sure we have already done so.

I wouldn't - we are in no immediate financial need to sell after Ollie and Said left and we have proven in the past that we dont sell in Jan if we have a realistic chance of promotion.

I don't believe we'll sell anyone in Jan. We're very much in the mix for automatic promotion and Toney's only just got started.. None of the teams battling at the bottom of the PL will pay 30m plus for Toney with only half a season at Championship level under his belt. West Ham still haven't paid up for Benhrama.

They don't pay in one go, and West Ham drag it out for ever

I know but my point was W Ham were the only ones willing to pay for Benhrama and they haggled and haggled. If we weren’t interested in selling him at that point we’d have pulled out early on. Or flat refused. We’ve stated we’re not selling and I can’t see anyone offering enough up front to make us even consider changing our minds on Toney, Henry or Raya

21 is young for a striker, but perhaps he's found his level.
Toney is definitely not for sale. He will not lose value in five months of Championship football.

Question is he any better than Pressley or Morgenson in the B Squad . Ok he’s playing lower level league football but our two have made first team sub appearances

I have no idea. All youngsters, I guess time will tell

Cardiff City have made their first signing of the January transfer window with the capture of striker Max Watters from Crawley Town.

South Wales rivals Swansea City had long held an interest in signing the 21-year-old, however it is understood they were unwilling to meet Crawley's asking price.
