Bloke at work who lives opposite W&E just informed me we have taken him back on trial apprently??
He scored 2 goals against Weymouth at the weekend in a 4 - 2 win

If true shows that AS is becoming a desperate man....

Expect Chennells to play on the right in the near future.....

Unfortunately my dog of 17 could score two goals against Weymouth.

I don't think that shows the sign of a deperate man. Chennells has had a long trial at Brentford, Chennells record is impressive at the level he plays. It does not matter if he scores goals at Weymouth or Hanwell town He knows how to score goals. They must see something in him, or else they would have got shot a lot earlier. The big question is can he do it at our level?
This is now down to Chennells to prove he is worth a punt. I wish the lad all the luck in the world..

No chance if he recieves the service (or lack of service) that GA, CM and NF have had this season. :(

Yet another stick to beat AS with, why does this suggest he's desperate?
Could it be that Simpson's out for longer than expected or just that circumstances have changed?

Or do you know something that the rest of us don't?

I think, if we can afford to, signing him would be a great move. There is always that excitement at signing a young lad from non-league as they really could go either way. With the current set up of strikers, this fella could really learn a lot. Come on Scotty, sign him up :sorted:

Agree - we really need a young forward that can step up next season - when our current dads army of forwards get fit, I'm sure there will be goals but next season the oldies will be another year older!

Michael Chennells

It wouldnt show hes desperate.
Maybe at the time he didnt think so but now were short on strikers and Forster going to have his operation that he thinks he should bring him in and saves time trying to get someone in on loan who doesnt really have a great goals to games ratio as these are expensive to buy let alone sign on loan.
The bloke has a terrific goals to games ratio, something like 100 goals in last 3seasons, average out at 33 goals a season that is pure class regardless of Weymouth etc a goalscorer is a goalscorer end off!
So to find one of those players now would be near impossible.
Hope this is definatly true and it works out hes in the team for Tranny on Saturday and scores ;-) the winner ;-)

A bit of a gamble of a signing (if it goes ahead) but you never know he could turn out to be a DJ (fingers crossed)

according to my windsor & eton source (sadly i cant say much with regards to who it is) hes NOT on trial, and is scheduled to play their next game

Why is it that everything Scot does now makes him desperate. Fans complain when Scott does nothing, complain when he changes things around, complain when he changes his mind, complain when he gets real (talking about fear of being dragged into a relegation fight), complain when he sticks to his tried and tested formations/players, oh and yes complain when he brings in players and plays them on the right side. FFS give the guy a break, he is as desperate for the club to do well as we are, yet everything he does is wrong. Dont forget more or less everyone on here were really upbeat about the team assembled before start of season, now those same fans are experts after seeing a dozen games in telling everyone we should not have bought so and so. Now is the time to support the club, players and management. Yes it may end in relegation, or management changes, but lets give ourselves a chance. If Chennells comes back into the fold and starts scoring no doubt those same so called supporters on here will then say Scott was wrong to let him go first time around. If only making football decisions was black and white we would be in the premier div and England would have won the world cup. Things are hard enough as they are without adding unecessary pressure to the situation. If Scott ends up going then so be it, but stop whinging about every decision he makes.

Could not agree more. Are you me?

If, as rumoured, Carl Cort secures his move to a Bupa care home, we may have Chennell number 9.
Boom Boom

Sorry but dropping Sam Wood was a desperate mistake. I've never been a sheep about anything in my life.

I am not for one minute saying that mistakes have not been made, agree with you on Wood btw. Just saying that everything now that Scott does is either wrong or desperate in the eyes of many, just because its the trend. If Chennells for instance worked out then there would be another reason to blame Scott, and whilst I accept things will change if results don't improve I don't believe this type of criticism (for the sake of) serves any purpose, you can't have your cake and eat it... ie you want him to change things things then proceed to give him a further kick in when/before he does...I am all for constructive criticism but don't then give him grief when he tries to resolve the issue(s)...

Going back to look at a player you have only just let go is/would be a desperate move and doesn't show the greatest judgement. However, if Chennels did work out I would give credit where it was due.

Agreed - he had over 4 weeks on trial and got a thanks but no thanks. The general mood of the GPG was this just shows the strength of our squad. The strikers have done F all since then and we're back to square one looking at players we have already rejected.

If he wasn't good enough a month ago, what has changed?

Seems this is a redundant subject now judging by a posters comment about W&E.

Agreed but was he not good enough? Or did we already have 6 fit strikers in CM, NF, GA, RS, KH and CC?

Now we've got 3 fit, 1 of which is still young n inexperienced at this level.

Do we give Hudson a run? Or bring Chennells in?

Isn't it a bit like going for an interview, being told that whilst you were very good that they were unable to offer you anything at that time.

They lose a couple of key people and suddenly remember that they had interviewed someone who seemed to offer something, they then approach you to see if you are still available.

It is a similar situation yes, IMO I think we should give Hudson a chance and THEN consider MC. Even a months loan with a view to extend and buy

Spot on, and very true. :sorted::sorted:

Confidence is such an important part of this and continually slagging him off whatever he tries to do just will not help produce an improvement (ask Charlie what it was like trying to score whilst the Saafend fans were at him, for example).

By now, I think, just about everyone recognises that if things don't improve reasonably directly Management changes are going/likely to have to be made; given what he has achieved hitherto (that sunny afternoon against Luton isn't so very long ago) he has probably got one more opportunity to pro actively get the Squad back on track; if he is being pro active in trying to do this I would like to think that the support for him and TB would be there.

If things don't improve and the changes have to be made I would hope, personally, that fans wise things don't go the way of Leroy.

move on, nothing to see here.

Might be available very cheaply soon - Windsor and Eton due to fold imminently

Surprised no-one has taken him on, although that may be significant in itself

I heard they asked 50 k

In the great scheme of things that would have been worth a punt,. If gone into Admin does that make him a free agent??? could learn a lot from Nicky
