Michael Kayode

two weeks or so :(
If true, he’d be out for Burnley and Bournemouth away and maybe West Ham in the cup, then back for Wolves and Leeds before the international break. Could be a lot worse!

Might be...
Depending on how much heavy lifting the "or so" is doing........

He was asked, inevitably about his long throw. He says he only started doing it at Brentford and he never practices it in training. He’s always got smile on his face. Asked about KA says he’s amazing and tells him to keep it simple when playing.
He actually started at school, when they noticed he could throw a lot further than the other kids....or maybe he could throw the other kids a lot further?
I might have misheard that 😉

He also said he's best friends with Yarmo, he loves being at the club and all the foreign players have to take English lessons, (if they need to), so they can
understand the coaches and staff.

Peter Gilham is "in and around" the matchday squad.
I wouldn't mind seeing MK in the actual team but it's more attacking intent on the wings I'd rather see (regardless of what fullback plays) or from the middle of the park...but I've been waiting a lot longer for that.

Sorry to burst a few bubbles, but based on KA's comments, my guess is he won't start tomorrow.
He’s one of the players who can force the opposition to modify pre-match tactics and possibly even player selection. It’s entirely reasonable for Keith to be vague about him starting.

Michael Kayode

I think KLP would be better with Ajer staying in the centre back position where he has been very good.
And if Michael is fit introduced about 60mins. If KLP starts, he will have run his socks off at right back in the first 60. Come on Bees. You can do this.
Time for a goal or more, from Igor.

He said he'd see how he comes through training Friday. Even if he's 80% I think he starts. Too big a player especially with Hickey out.

👍
Hope to be proved wrong, but KA just sounded a bit too guarded to me. 🤞

Reeeelaxxxx. Whilst I Love MK, him playing or not isn’t likely to determine if we win. A good performance from the midfield/attack is far more important than the marginal gain of Kayode over Hickey or any other stand-in fullback.

Michael Kayode

If Hickey is ruled out it may well influence whether Kayode starts or not. If he has been training all week as reports suggest i think he has a good chance of starting imo. Not a problem if Ajer starts at RB but its fair to say Kayode brings something else, as well as the obvious.

Michael Kayode

Bit chaotic today and a bit arrogant with one or two of the runs. Would like to see him regain his focus and concentrate a bit more on his defensive responsibilities and doing the basics well.

Michael Kayode

He was unlucky with those goals, those diagonal runs are part of what makes him special. I think the two centre backs should have done better on crosses and yes those crosses should have been stopped at source but some always get through.

Michael Kayode

Good to get a fair chunks of the season's "unluckies" out of the way in one game, especially in a game we won

Michael Kayode

First time I've seen him have a really bad game, and it's fresh off an injury when he's been back training for a few days, and even then we scored from a long throw of his. Nothing to worry about.

Michael Kayode

Was out of position and had poor footwork for the first. Not much he could have done about the second IMO.

He’ll learn from this. Still an exciting and unpredictable player.

Michael Kayode

Really unfortunate for him.
3-0 up and totally dominating (I was wondering whether we could match the 5-0 against Southampton), diverts a nothing cross into the net 3 minutes into 3 minutes added tlme in the first half, OK, so 3-1 at half time rather than 3-0
Then first minute of the second half, gets in the way of a shot and deflects it past Valdi.
Now it's 3-2 and F*** knows what happens for the rest of the half, except it's not pretty, VAR is wonderful, and none of this would have happened if we'd still been 3-0 up after 47 minutes.
