Growing concern about player's Brentford future - Feeling return to club is possible
Brentford signed Michael Kayode on an initial loan deal with the option to buy in the winter transfer window. There was a feeling of regret in Italy that Fiorentina had to move the promising defender on but so far, the youngster has struggled to settle at the London club. He has played only four...sportwitness.co.uk
I can’t believe that the details and numbers were not fully agreed before he arrived with us. It’s nonsense.Just sounds like the opinion of someone in Italy who has no genuine source and put 2 and 2 got together and got 5.
Player not starting immediately = we don’t want to buy him
I've not seen much of Kayode but from what I have seen. Ajer is better right back imo.don’t get why ajer got the nod ahead of him tbh…
at defending, what we know from kayode, is he is rapid, good in the air and good long throws which we had a lot of. a tired livramento being run at by a fresh kayode would cause problems.I've not seen much of Kayode but from what I have seen. Ajer is better right back imo.
Honestly don't see how you could possibly tell.I've not seen much of Kayode but from what I have seen. Ajer is better right back imo.
His first touch for a start....Honestly don't see how you could possibly tell.

i didn’t mention starting, we obviously don’t know how serious his injury was, but if he is available to play for 10 minutes and so is ajer… imo attacking wise he brings more.Kayode is coming back from injury, whereas Ajer has been our regular right back for the last few months. Kayode must be patient and earn the right to get on, let alone start.
im not sure we are going to sign him……
With Ajer on, it allows us to play 3 at back and push KLP further forward and Schade more centrali didn’t mention starting, we obviously don’t know how serious his injury was, but if he is available to play for 10 minutes and so is ajer… imo attacking wise he brings more.
but we didn’t play that… keano continued playing as a flat left backWith Ajer on, it allows us to play 3 at back and push KLP further forward and Schade more central
That's a much better response then you're first one. Which frankly was rude, arrogant and dismissve. He's a kid. He's playing the same amount of minutes as pretty much any 20 year old we've ever signed apart from maybe Aaron Hickey.
Or maybe none of those. That's a much better response then you're first one. Which frankly was rude, arrogant and dismissve.
Congratulations on being rude, arrogant and dissmisive again.Or maybe none of those.
I am sure that the lad has just come back from a substantial injury, and no one can currently judge where he is, or will be in the pecking order. Clearly I have no knowledge of the terms of his loan transfer, that said, we do not do straight out loans so it may be that we have no choice in the permanency come 30th June.I'd trust Thomas's judgement on whether to start him but if he's behind Ajer, SvdBerg and Hickey in the pecking order of right backs he's in exactly the same position as Roerslev was. In that scenario it's hard to see the club splurging 16 mill on a fourth choice player. Obviously he's younger than Roerslev and might be seen to have more development potential but I have a feeling this isn't going to be made permanent.
As I've said before, I rate Sepp very highly as a CB but not as a full back, so it's not a great reflection on Kayode's status. I think the fact that he's not even getting a decent amount of minutes off the bench is even more damning.
It was a minor injury keeping him out for a couple of games. Other games he's been an unused sub. There is no obligation to buy. It was reported at the time by the club and the BBC as a loan with option to buy.I am sure that the lad has just come back from a substantial injury, and no one can currently judge where he is, or will be in the pecking order. We can't tell but Thomas sees him every day and will decide on that predominantlyI was disappointed he didn't get game time. There are only 8 games left to play and I can imagine Hickey will be back before these are through. Not sure where that leaves Kayode's loan. Personally I like his style and approach to the game but is he worth whatever he will cost? We can't really tell without game time when it matters.
I think he'd be second choice after Hickey and that Sepp will be at CB next year and perhaps Ajer could be expendable...I'd trust Thomas's judgement on whether to start him but if he's behind Ajer, SvdBerg and Hickey in the pecking order of right backs he's in exactly the same position as Roerslev was. Bottom line is TF is not the best at giving youngsters the chance to break into the first team and get valuable game mins. Playing EP in the middle at the expense of giving MK a chance last night at RB was another example of this. At this point what have we got to lose other than a place or 2 in the league? He's on loan after all to see if we want to buy him!Strange one when he joined back in January I'd have expected more than 30 mins of playing time in the 5 games he's available for.
Thomas’ job is to win football matches, not run a crèche. He’s play youngsters if he thinks they’re the best player in the position with the tactics he’s chosen.Bottom line is TF is not the best at giving youngsters the chance to break into the first team and get valuable game mins.

What have we got to lose?!?!?!? £3mill per place, so a few places higher in the league could pay for Kayode in the summer.Bottom line is TF is not the best at giving youngsters the chance to break into the first team and get valuable game mins.
