Michael Turner RIP

Michael Turner, a lifelong Brentford supporter, not our ex Centre Half of the same name, sadly passed away after a long battle with Leukaemia on the 3rd November. Micheal was really chuffed we had a player with his name, he used to say "I think I played well today". Not many GPG ers will know Michael, he never joined the Grapevine but, I would like to put this tribute to another Bee who unfortunately will not be visiting Griffin Park again. I first met Michael many years ago in the New Road Stand and you get talking and we remained friends ever since, he used to ring me at work, as he could not get to games, for the latest gossip. Michael also had a passion for Essex Cricket Club, as do I, and that was another interest we had in common, he did not like Ronnie Irani and used to give him a lot of stick at Fans Forums and AGM's. As Michael lived in Essex, he was affectionately called by us as "Billericky Mickey". He was good fun and told some wonderful stories about his time selling tractors to Eastern Europe and Africa, especially the one about the Albino Prostitute and a tractor in Burkino Faso. Great Fun. he will be greatly missed by myself, Love and Mercy and Oakley Bee.
Take care old friend. R. I. P.

Condolences.

This is another one where we could benefit from seeing a photo. I'm sure there are many people who we're all on nodding terms with, who we see every Saturday but don't actually know their names.

I am not sure if I had the privilege of meeting you, over the years, but you sound a great character, and you will be greatly missed by your Griffin Park mates.

I think it would be a good idea to have a Photo Gallery of Ex Bees (Supporters) that are no longer with us so we can put names to pictures?

Michael Turner RIP

I was also one of the lucky ones that used to sit with Michael, apart from his wide ranging knowledge of tractors and foreign prostitutes he never failed to amaze me with his obscure facts about Brentford players of the 1950's, along with everyone else who knew him I will miss him greatly and when we move into Lionel Road he will be the first person i think about.
