IMO £10M will be the minimum that Hull will look to receive when you consider that Brentford & Charlton have 15% each to come their way.

It's Brentford innit so can anyone see this really happening ? :fishing:

No one cares for your opinion... :fishing:

Don't they try and negotiate us down on our 15%? Isn't that normal procedure?

Michael Turner

lol he would be a fool if this was to be true. Hull had a woeful end to the season and could very easily be going down next season. Surely if Liverpool F.C offered you a contract, you wouldn't think twice

I would think twice if the altermative was a bosman next year and a 120K per week contract rather than a 50K one. He is still young.

But he signed 4 year deal in January, so he won't be Bosman next year.

Just a matter of time until he turns up at Villa Park IMHO. With Barry going to Man City it leaves another defensive vacancy for Martin O'Neill to fill. £8m my best guess.:sorted:

To put his worth in perspective, Gary Cahill of Bolton has been called up to the England squad ahead of him, so he's got a way to go just yet.

All the more reason for him to get to Villa Park where he'll make a name for himself!:sorted:

I can almost sense abee reaching for his calculator...

Michael Turner

Looks like a come and get him plea from Brown in order to give him additional transfer budget.
3 premier clubs already in the hunt, although not sure any will be top 4 club.

I'd guess at Villa (in need of Larsson replacement), Sunderland (Bruce after CB) & possibly Man City (if Terry bid fails).

Michael Turner

I like the terms 'current transfer market' - City driven - and 'serious money' - ie higher , higher!

However i do not like the sentence starting ' myself and the chairman' :nono:

Michael Turner

How long before Notts COunty make a bid for Turner ?

Michael Turner

It appears that it's four premiership clubs who have been talking to Hull about him. I am led to believe that they are Man. City, Sunderland, Liverpool and Villa. Was also told that Arsenal have spoken to Hull. However, it seems that Hull value him a goodly bit more than those have offered. Think they are talking silly money in excess of 10 million.

Michael Turner

Probably a silly question but do we get a small fee if Turner gets sold on, and if yes how much percentage wise. If we do, Man City please loool

I think it's effectively 15% of Hull's profit (i.e. 15% of megabucks-350k). Please feel free to correct if this is wrong

i believe this is so.

Plus Charlton get 15% too.

So Hull will expect a big fee. If £10 million is it,, the Bees and Charlton would get approx £1.15 million each....................nice. I bet that still isn;t enough to top up the football clubs 'cellar of famous wines' :nono:

Thank you then I will. We received £375k for Turner.

Sorry to add £3,750 to your theoretical P&L abee. I'll ask that nice Mr. Brown to add £25k to the fee.

You didn't add it.......it was already there. :)

I have been waiting for this since May. if Hull had gone down then Turner would surely have gone by now but probably at a lower fee.

I really think that he will go before the end of the window but it will surely need a Terry or Lescott to go which will set off a chain reaction of lesser moves which would include MT.

Phil Brown is almost certainly touting the sale of Turner. Surely some of the big boys will pick up on this, Make no mistake Brown wants big bucks for Michael.

Michael Turner

this is going exactly to plan.....love it :sorted:

We get first option on Zamora when he's aged 37.

Michael Turner

I thought Zamora had already gone to Hull???

Fulham accepted bid from Hull but Zamora hasn't agreed personal details yet

Michael Turner

Surely we get 15% of Zamora which mean he please 1 game in 7 (ish) for us.

Michael Turner

OK. Stoopid question time. How is the sell on calculated in a cash plus player deal?

Is the deal calculated on the "amount of cash" that changes hands?

They have agreed £5m for Zamora, if Turner is sold for for £4m + Zamora then we should get a 15% of £9m surely?

Based on the game at GP when we won 4-0 I'll pass thanks

Michael Turner

I have a feeling that when its cash plus player they in actual fact do each transaction separately so Fulham will buy Turner for 8 million or whatever and then sell Zamora to Hull for 5 mill, so it's not really a cash plus player.

Michael Turner

ok confused.com can someone please explain why we would get a penny for a zamora move?

Its a deal we did with West Ham when they flogged him to Fulham. We threatened to sue them if they didn't agree. lol

Michael Turner

15% of 9 million is... £1,350,000
15% of 8 million is... £1,200,000

Thats what in theory we could recieve :O Happy days, will this no doubt be spent of surviving for another year or can we splash out on a quality player :)lol

Michael Turner

minus the £375k................

Michael Turner

Ah so just under £1,000,000 so basically £900,000.. still a good figure :)

Michael Turner

Couldn't care less who Turner goes to, but I can't see Hull paying Zamora a 'bumper deal' for a 37 year old.
