Think Swansea should cash in on him - Laudrup seems to be able to spot a player. Pablo and Guzman both look useful. Give him a bit more dosh. Although looks more likely to sell Graham

I bet he didn't get hyped in the Spanish media to the extent that he is now over here though, otherwise he wouldn't have ended up at Swansea!

Did you see Arsene Wenger's quote: "Honestly, Michu was not on our radar. You needed to have really deep knowledge of the market in Spain to do that. Michael Laudrup did because he has the connections".

Blimey, you'd think his scouts could add least spot a striker who scores 15 goals in the top league in the world :eek:

Yes, you're correct, and Thierry Henry was a winger not a "striker" at Juve.

My point is that he was capable of scoring 15 goals in La Liga at almost a goal every two games and yet not on the radar of a club like Arsenal for only £2 million. Bearing in mind the worth of goal-scoring midfielders like him last season or Frank Lampard over his whole career, you'd have thought he would be more in demand rather than less. But then maybe Arsene's brief to his scouts said "striker" only, not goalscorer...

A whole host of clubs were offered Michu and only Swansea reacted.In truth Arsene didn't see it.

Playing for a team in Spain his brother manages. Think the injury he got really affected him and lost confidence. Going there so he can build his fitness and confidence whilst helping his brother out
