Mick Cox RIP
A great friend of mine and known by so many Bees fans, Mick (Coxy) passed away on Mother's Day.
Mick and his brother Terry had a thriving fish & chip shop for many years, in fact the Bees team coach all piled in there a good few years ago after another drubbing at Peterborough, Mick had invited them all in for a meal on him.
Some of you may remember him from the Anglo-italian trips, he went over to Italy for the away games.
A season ticket holder for many years, he also won a lifeline USA trip back in the early days. Mick was a true Bee, a group of us Essex, Herts and Reading Bees travelled all over the country with him, there was never a dull moment with him around. He had the sharpest, most evil sense of humour I've ever known, he'd get away with saying things that no-one else would dare say but the Benny Hill type expression on his face always saved him!
Taken far too early at 58 years old, he leaves his lovely wife Nicola, 2 daughters Sophie and Nicole and his son Max, a carbon copy of his dad with the same humour and lovely ways. I'm not sure if Max ever forgave Mick for giving him the middle name of Brentford (yes really!) but he's carrying on the family tradition of following the Bees and drinking for England.
I also had several holidays with Coxy, we went to New York, Chicago, Spain, Ireland and Germany together....... Always had a fantastic time and a great laugh.
The whole group are devastated by this loss, the man was an absolute legend. I dread to think what his family are feeling now.
The family are all hoping to attend the Spurs game and would like people to join in a round of applause in the 58th minute for him. Unfortunately the club no longer arrange this due to the high number of requests they were receiving, so we are hoping to just do it ourselves, please join in.

directly behind me in w235 so have seen him loads this season. I am happy that he got to see the greatest games in all our lifetimes.
