I've been practicing on here for months for my emotional return to the Palladium, hosted by Bradley Walsh.

He suggested I come on here due to his glittering Brentford career.
He assured me that my 40 year out of date humour would fit in perfectly.

Fancy dress I recall with some of the BYE dressing up as convicts and chasing Tranmere's youth around the streets after lol it had to be seen to be believed .

Lost his way completely in the last few years. Flopped at Sheffield United, Port Vale and Tranmere in quick succession.

He took them up in his first spell, before going to Sheffield United. He certainly had a decent record for getting clubs promoted - but it's all gone wrong for him in recent times.

I actually think I'm wrong in what I said. It was his second spell back at Port Vale that he took them up from League Two, so maybe my earlier comments were a bit harsh. Two out of three of his last jobs have been a disaster - with a promotion in between!!

Seems a strange decision, with just two games left.

Think they're screwed myself Bury home and Plymouth away.

They may well lose both of them.

Turned down an offer from Costa Brava last week apparently so this rumour might well be more than just rabbit. :)

I always liked Adams and it seems a bit sad that he's fallen that far down the managerial pecking order. Weirdly the relegation season he had with us is one of my favourites - his Dad's Army fought hard against what seemed like inevitable relegation from the day he joined and kept us in with a chance so matches were still worth going to.

When we played Watford at home that season, think it was January, they were top and looking good for auto-promotion we gave them a real fright and looked like we'd win the game. I didn't goto many games that season but remember thinking after that one we'd definitely turned the corner and there was no way we'd be in a relegation battle...

Funnily I was thinking of that game. I remember several Watford fans being in disbelief about how they won that game. I reckon if Taylor had been fit for the last few games we might just have stayed up.

I can't even remember who were regulars in the team that year, though I do remember an ageing Graeme Hogg.
Whatever the next game I went to after Watford it soon changed my mind about whether we'd be relegation candidates.

I wont be able to sleep tonight now ....the nightmares ....the horror ...the memories of the way we were... was it this season we lost to a non league team in the cup and Watson (ex Foolham young 'un's) got all lairy on the forecourt :)

To be fair Taylor was a very good player. Without him we'd have been sunk by the New Year!

True but I remember his strop against Northampton when frustration got the better of him and he saw red. When he limped off against Fulham our season died.

Yes, I remember knowing that it was all over as he went off against Fulham. Hadn't remembered until looking up his stats just now how literally true it was that it was his early season goals that kept us in contention, only scored 3 of his 18 from January to end of season.

What was the story behind the Ricky Reina transfer from Dover? Was he crocked before we got him? Never seemed to play much and scored a solitary goal as i recall (Bristol City (home)?). Then just disappeared

One of the three in the frame . I read the same article and Margate have a £15000 a week budget ??? Madness but would not surprise me if it all ends in tears .
