Mid table finish

Don't think a promotion thread is apposite at present therefore a mid table obscurity seems a better option

Seems that our players are crap, our coach is crap and our DoF's have no idea, on that basis hardly worth my regular 400 mile round trip to watch the home games

Now I have seen some real dross over the past 58 years and genuinely worried that eventually we would fall through the trap door and end up as non league fodder. We have however moved on from there thanks to a supporter who has pumped in a small fortune.

He has set out his plans to make us self sufficient and I am confident that eventually we will get there. Along the way there will be some major hurdles to overcome and I suggest we are currently suffering from one of those issues. It may even get worse in the short term

As people will confirm I am not one of natures optimists however I have seen, in patches, hopes for the future. Our players are not as bad as results indicate however they are, not surprisingly, very low on confidence, nothing that a scrappy win won't put right

Mr Benham is not going to waver from the path he has taken so posters looking for Allardyce etc will be disappointed. Equally having chucked vast sums of money at the project he is not going to let it fail when we hit some rough waters

I firmly believe that we will be safe this season, yes we may be nervous from time to time but we will be ok

The players without doubt need to metaphorically roll up their sleeves and if any are sulking then they need to get their act together. As supporters we also need to keep the belief, be strong, stop harping back to what might have been and give the club our full support

We have been in bigger messes than this, QPR takeover, and managed to extricate ourselves. We will do so again

I agree with you I have been following the Bees since 1956/1957 and we have gone through many ups and downs. Most recent down for me was when we had Terry Butcher. Like you I have seen 2 promotion to this division, the first was when a small benefactor who only wanted to sell of parts of the ground.. With our existing benefactor I live in hope that we can maintain our Championship status this season

Me and all . The players have got to get together and fight for their football club. We are all in it together, and should always be up for a fight.

With this international break LC will be able to have a long period with most of the squad to get across what he wants them to do.

Rotherham, as has been stated in another thread, is now huge.
