It was not a bad match last Thursday, and Angus Fraser was saying on the radio tonight they have been trying some experiments in the 20/20 :looks:
The 4 day game is the main one and we are 2nd with a game in hand at the halfway stage
and could be a lot worse in the 40 over league.
Not sure what happens next year with Lords out of action for some 6 weeks due to the Olympics

...........yep, I know the emphasis this season is getting back in the first division, but some of the 20/20 performances have been appalling........ I know they won't win every competition but at least show some spirit.......a couple of Pro 40 games at Lords to look forward to........

It was a 'loan'. Middlesex didn't have any games planned in the period from the final test v Sri Lanka to the start of the tests v India. So they asked Somerset for a favour. Which they agreed to, as the only match Strauss could play in was the friendly game v India! So the ECB were happy and Strauss kept his eye in.

Visited Woodbridge Road on Thursday on a Corporate Marque thingy - Excellent Lunch and Tea with Pimms by the bucket load. Cricket was not bad either (Though Finn was treated with a tad of contempt by Dalrymple)
