I'm not so sure, if Macca is in the middle we will have more bite which we need but whether he's good enough to be the the lynchpin at this level who knows?
Personally I have my doubts that he is good enough for that role but I understand the need for more 'bite' and that might be an alternative. I would prefer to see him there than at Right Back to be honest.
If Barton dropped his wage demands we would've signed him.. Purely because he seems to be interested in the project
Martin Rowlands was decent. Is he still about?
George Saville..? Seems like Wolves have no interest in keeping him and would probably be a useful option for us in midfield
It may have been that our style of play suited George more.... He may have had 1 decent season with us and peaked.
Totally agree. There are two holding midfield places: one covering the defence and one to break up play in the middle and get forward as the player "always available", the "box-to-box" one. The attacking trio would include a "number 10" centrally, completing the spine.Playing two out of Mac, Toums and KK doesn't work for me. Not enough movement, no help to the front man as no runs off him, Judge drops deeper to create and his movement in the final third is lost too. Mac is our only midfield enforcer but we only need one who doesn't box to box IMO.
Forget promotion........ relagation avoidance is the first hurdle and if we think josh mc is a defensive mid then I think we have problems esp after marinus latest comment on him
"New Josh" seems to have misunderstood the brief, he's taking "unseen" to a new level!I've been told that the management team regard Josh McEachran as a ready made replacement for Douglas... a view that worries me on several levels

No, technically and as a creative link man I think he'll turn out to be a superb signing but he wouldn't scare the sh*t out of me if I were facing him in the tunnel

Disagree, but then that's the beauty of football. He was a leader, hard and uncompromising and imo we haven't replaced him yet. Still time though.

Can't Josh wear a Terry Hurlock mask? Job done
What did he say?
