Didn't go but a point is another point towards safety. Growing more worried about our climbing injury list.

Millwall reaction/reports

I've just finished working, more than happy with a point but who got injured?

Millwall reaction/reports

Forget getting our 7 injured players back...can we just have a decent ref please?

Good point

End to end stuff

We should have scored a couple in second half and again were lucky not to concede a couple in second half..

Referee was sh*t as per usual...

Mousinho great clear off the line near end of first half..

Cox and Griffiths injured and looked pretty major.

Great support from Brentford...

You reds

Well I thought we were the better of two poor sides and if the useless **** of a ref had given us either of two good penalty shouts, we would have taken three points. Our injury crisis is unbelievable - Owusu, Skulason, Frampton, O'Connor, Pinault and now possibly Griffiths and Cox.

Cox had his best game so far for us, I thought. Wijnhard may have something, but he's some way off being properly fit. Willock keeps trying and scored today with a dreadfully poorly executed header - but a well struck header would probably have missed or been saved, so ....

Good to see us back in the top half, but three points on Saturday is needed now IMHO as draws won't do forever.

Enjoyed the game, some misread balls and faffing about lead to worrying moments but overall happy with a point. Blatant handballs missed by the ref and lino, def penalty for us in 2nd half too which was missed, great clearance off the line by Moushino to save our blushes. Do not like Kuffour on left wing, :nono: Willock and Winjhard upfront :nono: . Worrying that Griffiths and Cox injured and where is Pinault???

So: Owusu, OConnor, Frampton, Oli, Pinault, Rhodes, Cox, Griffiths ( banned ) Moore - at least 6 first team regulars out, this is worrying. Scotty Fitz will be getting a look in soon.....

Thought Winjhard was a lazy carthorse who couldnt win a header if he was the last man standing, but when he had the ball at his feet, he had good vision in getting the balls out to the wing. When Tillen came forward he gave a good account of himself but lacked the good marking at LB ( pls LR play him left midfield!! ) Osbourne was turned inside out today, Cox played well but Kuffour was wasted in his position. Willock did Ok. Yet again, however Griffiths get the MOM from me, good show, hope he is back as we cant just have Matty H as the only "experienced" player at the back..god help us!!!

Match stats and reports states Winjhard subsituted for Peters, but wasn't it Moushino who went off instead???

Millwall reaction/reports

All in all, a good game thought we did well in the first half, but seemed to lose it into the second half and allowed Millwall to create more chances. Almost seemed to go wrong about when Griffiths went off - although I don't that was the reason for it.

Should have taken three points, but will always take a draw from an away derby match. Willock did OK and glad he got the goal, even though it did look like it was going wide, hopefully that will spur him on.

Winjard (sp) looks like he's been reading the Isaiah Rankin guide to dieting, and don't think he is the answer. Jo looked good but don't like him on the wing.

Enjoyed the match though, didn't like being kept in the 'pig' pen waiting for the train though, :( although I understnad why.

Not a bad result considering and a good night out. As usual good support from us. Don't these modern all seater stadiums feel dull when only a third full.

When I saw Mousinho and Cox in the middle I thought this is going to be a bad night but both did Ok in the end.

Willock took his goal Ok and again did more in the game than expected. Dutchman looked unfit but he added muscle and could do a good job if he got fitter. He clearly has ability

As the game went on and we replaced more injured players with youngsters hanging on for a point seemed a good result but we ended up on the attack and going for it more than Millwall which was pleasing.

They look like relegation fodder. On paper they have a good as team as us but our spirit and teamwork shone through and snatching a win would not have been unfair especially as we got nothing out of the ref. I wonder if Kuffour has upset the refs club in a previous life.

That is quite generous. I thought he was completely and utterly useless. I began to dread any seeing balls going in his direction. Even when he got a ball he was quickly dispossessed.

Fortunately, we are only lumbered with him for three months. I am happy for him to prove me wrong if he gets another game though.

Millwall reaction/reports

First half was two poor teams low on confidence but I thought we were much the better side after the break and despite the ridiculously maekshift nature of our side looked more likely to win.

Willock got lucky with his header but is looking better every game, although Kuffour is wasted on the left.

Mousinho and Cox were very good, perhaps a performance as good as Oli and Pinault have shown and in general we defended well.

The main problem is that we can't build relationships because of injuries. Griffiths keeps getting knocks, we change our central midfield match by match and wide players just as often, it's holding us back.

But we keep fighting, play some decent stuff and get shafted by referee's.

Not sure about the Cox pen as he was doing a lot of pushing too but Willock was 2-3 yards onside when he was flagged in the last minute.

Leroy said after that Griffiths' broke his nose and Cox has a bad ankle injury. Kev should be back for Saturday but I got the impression he would be the only one. Oli has had another setback :(

If we keep playing good football we will kepp picking up points but our first team was in the stands tonight and we can't cope with that :(

Millwall reaction/reports

I thought there were some positives tonight, especially after saturday's poor performance, but having said that Millwall were as poor a side as I have seen.

A midfield of Moushino and Cox looked alarming before kick-off but as has already been said, Cox had his best game to date (shame he got injured) and I thought that Moushino played much better than he has shown before. Brooker got through an unbelievable amount of work in a number of positions as the formation changed and maybe that experimental line-up against Luton proved beneficial as when Griffiths went off as Leroy switched to a central back three (Heywood, with Osborne and Charles), they looked as if they knew what they were doing.

I like the way that Charles gets on with things quietly and calmly and although Karleigh Osborune struggled somewhat during the first-half, he was much better in the second half.

Early days to judge Wjinyard but he showed in touches the benefits of a bustling type of forward that we have been sorely missing.

After Saturday, it was important to regain some pride in their performance and I thought they did that, especially considering the age and maturity of the team that finished the game!

Bloody good performance by a ramshackle makeshift team.

Heywood was fantastic ably abetted by Griffiths, Tillen had his best game of the season and Osbourne greatly impressed the Millwall management who were also delighted that Joe Kuffour was wasted wide left.

Mousinho started badly but improved and Brooker really did well for once taking some responsibility.

Pillock scored and tried hard and the 3 kids off the bench also contributed.

This game shows hpw well the squad has bonded together and their fight and determination not to lose.

Excellent performance given all the circumstances.

with grifffiths and cox out as well we'll be struggling to put a side
out on saturday

anyone know why pinault wasn't involved last night?

Millwall reaction/reports

anyone know why pinault wasn't involved last night?

Ankle injury.

Apparantly he's been carrying it for a while and aggrivated it on Saturday.

I wouldn't bank on him being available for Saturday, although that is just my hunch and I have no basis for saying it

Millwall reaction/reports

Considering the patched up team we put out I thought we did ok.

Osbourne and Wijnhard were the only weaknesses and it's beyond me why Millwall didn't carry on where they left off in the 2nd half and make a fool out of Karleigh again. Maybe that's why they're in the bottom 4!

All the players put in a lot of effort last night in particular Brooker who led from the front. I'm a bit confused by the other comments about Kuffour being wasted on the wing - I'm sure Leroy didn't want him there but with the current injury problems it was a necessity. Remember even the subs bench was full of defenders and an out of condition Ryan Peters.

We should be happy with a point and let's face it only 2 defeats in the League is not bad as we move into October.

...looks like two of the relegation slots are safely looked after...we are poor but they are awful...long season of struggle ahead...why does everything think the world is suddenly going to get better when Lloyd comes back?....his record over the last few years doesnt support that theory...

I don't think anyone's suggesting that Lloyd on his own can make a difference but he can certainly improve the front line.

Millwall reaction/reports

...I think Leroy & Co should spend the majority of the week teaching the players how to pass to each other and control the ball...the basic skills on show last night were an embarrassment to anyone claiming to be professional...thank f**k we have Framps and KOC to come back into that side...

Millwall reaction/reports

I thought we did ok against a poor Millwall team given a fillip by the exit of their manager. I suspect if he'd still been in charge Millwall's heads would have gone down after the first and we probably would have won.

Nelson was far more dithering than usual and I thought we were a little discombobulated in the first-half but were far more assured in the second. I think Wijnhard is well short of match fitness and did not look up to much. However I'll give him another couple of games before making a final judgement I think.

Another diabolical referee who bottled all the major decisions. There was at least one decent penalty shout in there.

It was an entertaining game though. Mousinho and Cox played well. Griffith's and Cox going off injured is a little worrying.

Osbourne does look like he's lacking confidence but we seem to have a left and right backs who look more comfortable coming forward than actually defending in Tillen and Osbourne.

Over all not bad but we could (should?) have won it.

Two very poor teams, but at least in our case we are missing 5 First Team players.

This was a vital point towards staying up and with the team that finished the game you have to be pleased.

Our defence is still woeful and the gaps we leave is frightening.

Tillen, Brooker, Fatty Dutchy, Willock - must be out of the team when we get all the sick notes back.

Though Cox played some lovely balls and had his best game. Mousinho had a solid game and if Osbourne had any support, he would have been solid.

Thought Nelson should have parried the ball wider, BeeH agreed.

Can`t afford to lose Griffiths and Cox.

Few players in recent times have attracted such differing views, but surely you cannot be serious? Brooker has been consistently one of our best performers over the past month. With so many people out he has really stood up and been counted.

He's our only creative outlet. How many times did he carry the ball out of our half last night? The end ball doesn't always come off but it releases the pressure on the defence and sometimes sets up a chance.

And both last night and on Saturday he really got stuck in. On Sat even a well known GPGer remarked on that in the pub afterwards!

Give Brooker a break. He's proving a few people - me included - wrong at the moment.

But it's not worth responding, Bish only sees what he wants to see. If Brooker made three goals he'd be criticised for pulling out of a tackle in the 67th minute

Bosh has definitely lost the plot !

Strange that Arse Face, I was shifting storage boxes galore in to the new offices in Uxbridge and got indoors just as Willock scoring came up on the screen !

Glad to see you're still having a pop at Nelson whenever you can though ! :nono:

I think he is crap. How many times did he give the ball away and then stroll back leaving the right back outnumbered.

Having said that he is in a very poor team and if we had more experienced pro`s, he might be a luxury we could afford.

I also don`t think I am the only fan to think he is pony. Certainly not judging by the fans around me.

Still all about opinions - some fans think Willock is a footballer.

Is it just me or do others believe that a BFC director should not be making comments about players to a mere "civilian" like wot Ace Face is.

I know that Bee H has denied even being at Millwall or speaking to Ace Face but even if he wasn't there he shouldn't have been saying these things which he denies and furthermore........(copyright Jim Levack 2006)

How many times did he end up isloated in the corner with no support and manage to get the ball back where someone else proceeded to lose it.

Who was the man who created the 'goal' for Willock at the end, and held a better position in the centre of midfield than many others that have tried this season.

But you only see what you want to see don't you

agreed with Tillen and Brooker, though they both improved from Saturday, but Wijnhard must be given a little time surely-he looked to have some ideas, but lacking on fitness and sharpness. Playing balls over the top to him, aint gonna work and the team have to adapt to this.

Willock has been working hard for the last few games, and got his deserved reward last night. He should be in the team until he plays poorly again....

Osborne had a 'mare of a first half, but improved in the second......He needs to spend a day or two in passing school

Sadly Karleigh was shocking last night.

If Pinault's back on saturday, Mousinho should drop in at RB and Osborne should have some intensive coaching.

I thought he did okay considering he was out of position. The good thing to come out of this injury crisis that the kids got invaluble experience in a hostile enviroment last night. You can't buy that. :cliche:

Even taking into account he wasn't playing in his preferred position, he was dreadful. I like Osborne and want to see him do well, but his concentration seems to be all over the place.

I sometimes wonder about the quality of training he's receiving, for some of the basic mistakes he makes again and again would shame a schoolboy.

Hopefully it's simply a question of experience and adjusting mentally to the pressure of first team football, but Karleigh needs to learn quick, another performance like last night and his confidence will be shot to pieces.

Millwall reaction/reports

He got skinned for the cross but they had two shots before scoring so you could ask questions of the centre halves...

I thought Karleigh was considerably better than at Chesterfield. Still got a lot to learn though.
