MK Dons (19 Dec)

I shall be driving there if that's alright with everyone...... couldn't really give a rat's ar$e about carbon footprint etc :)

Leaving the helicopter at home?

MK Dons (19 Dec)

I read in saturdays programe that after leaving j14 m1, that it is a sequance of roundabouts/mini roundabouts. Is this really as bad as it sounds?, If so i may give two fingers to franchise football, Has anyone got any words of encouragment.

It is, if anything an understatement. Milton Keynes is the land of roundabouts. Just as you get up speed from the last one, so another one appears, and I am not exaggerating. Also got some of the worst lack of signposting anywhere in Britain for places in the plastic town, or city, you can imagine.Just leave an hour earlier and you should arrive on time. One tip though, is that if you stop to ask any local the directions to the new, repeat new ground, because the last time one local(and most MK residents don't support their local club),gave me the directions to their old ground which was really useful!

You might not go because of a couple of roundabouts ?

and why on earth would you drive to MK from london when it was £5 on the train and you are scared of roundabouts!!!?

MK Dons (19 Dec)

The train from Clapham stops at Wembley and goes to Bletchley, a few minutes walk to the ground. I've got my Tesco Tickets for the game and shall
be boarding at Harrow and Wealdstone. christmas drink up a must:)

MK Dons (19 Dec)

I reckon it's one of the easiest grounds to drive to. Yes, there are roundabouts, but so what? Nearly all the roads are dual carriage way. Anyway, I'm on the train this time with the bottle chucking monster!

Come off at J12 instead go into Toddington and take the Leighton Road out again and pick up the A5 from there and a lot less roundabouts and a better journey.

....................its just like the maze at Hampton Court.................just keep to the left.................

No its nowhere near as bad as it sounds. The best road system in the country for a town of its size. As someone else has posted above, most of the roads are dual carriageways & the roundabouts keep the traffic flowing. You might get lost but (apart from outside the ground), you won't be in a traffic jam either.:D

MK Dons (19 Dec)

There might be loads of roundabouts but there's not many traffic lights so the traffic flows = no traffic jams..
I'm getting the train so i can have a drink.......:drinker:

Funnily enough no mate, taking my eldest to this one. Be in Enigma for one ish

We once to went to muff by minibus and stopped off at Toddington services which is about 30 minutes down the road. It was 7.45 am in the morning and KetteringBee struggled to talk, walk or focus due to the amount he had already downed.
Poor old ROUB got on and had to sit next to him for the rest of the journey, I had to stop him trying it on, pissing in a bottle and sucking his thumb.

Prob just as easy to turn off at J9 and go along the A5

:nono: - don't forget that in MK, at roundabouts, you give way to cars from the left - not the right! It's easy to forget that.

F**k me, give way to the left phew, I'll be going round MK like a suicide bomber, Just cos i'm from Wembley doesn't mean i got the jihad drivers licence.

MK Dons (19 Dec)

Thanks for all your help.I never knew of the train link from Wembley so cheers Westwing
But i still prefer to drive, Think j9 and the A5 sound favorite, Thanks Nick, I attack roundabouts like frank spencer
