See Daniel Bard just optioned to Pawtucket from Red Sox. Used to love the minor league games when touring. Great evening out without the pressure. My team Indians,dell in love with them in 97 but painful since.

Bard has had control issues and is still getting used to being a starter. I guess he can work on some things in Pawtucket. Beckett and Lester are having very up and down seasons. I hate to say it but my Sox just are not very good this year...

All star break comes before too much pessimism. Think Valentine has looked pained at times.

It's dodgers stadium's 50th anniversary this year. One of the 5 oldest stadiums after Wrigley, Fenway, Angels, Oakland Colliseum and Dodgers Stadium. Also has the famous Vin Scully commentating ('Deuces Wild!'):

We should be sellers at the All-Star Break. We can move Youkilis for some young pitching. Dice-K looked poor in his comeback. Can't wait to see the end of that experiment. Then we just somehow have to move Lackey and hope Crawford comes good...

Off to Toronto this weekend and should be going to see the Yankees visit The SkyDome / RogersCenter, it's been nearly 20years since my last baseball match Blue Jays vs Indians :eek:

Shame the Jays are at the bottom of the standings :(

Too many injuries this year for the Jays has cost them big time. Gonna be an interesting last few days to see who gets the division and wildcard spots

After 150 odd games the AL is very tight in all divisions. Texas have a must win game tonight against the A's otherwise the gap is closed to 2 :eek:

Last regular season game .. Texas vs Oakland in winner takes all game . Texas get beat 12-5 so Oakland win division :cry:

Oakland are the first team in 60 years to spend just one day leading the division in the whole season :cry:

Wild card play off now the Rangers :(

Tigers shutout The A's 6-0 to take the AL Divisional Series 3-2 and advance to The Championship Series to face either The Orioles or The Yankees who are tied at 2-2 with the deciding game tonight in New York.

In the National League The Giants, who came from 2 games down, to defeat The Reds, despite being outscored 22-20, must wait to see who they face in the Championship Series as The Cards and The Nationals are tied at 2-2 with the fifth and deciding game in Washington tonight.

Tigers beat The Yankees in four straight games :laugh: to advance to the World Series where the will meet either The Cards or The Gnats.
St Louis currently lead 3-1.

Amazing that BALCO Barry went to The Giants he said he signed for them to win a World Series Ring, but as soon as he goes they win it twice.

What a really disappointing World Series. Only a few decent moments but so one sided it was silly. The Tigers didn't turn up

Exciting times for us Jays fans. Had very little recently apart from Bautista's form. Still hate our division though, Yankees, Rays, Orioles and Red Sox. No poor teams (Red Sox wont be as terrible again)

The GM is going for it , he knows it's a weak division so for about 3 years (i think thats when the bulk of the contracts are up) the Blue Jays will be challenging

As a long time Mets fan, it's a great trade for us. D'Arnaud and Syndegaard are very highly rated prospects, and Bercer too has promise. But we'll still be crap for another couple of seasons.
Blue Jays should be a lock for the AL East. AL hitters won't know what to make of Dickey's stuff, should deliver 20 wins for them.
