I am due an upgrade this month and been offered the i phone, would like to access the GPG from my mobile, any suggestions which would be the best and if the i phone does it matter if 8 or 16 something of memory

Go for the iPhone dude, it's well sweet! [I don't normally talk like that.]

The amount of memory only relates to the amount of music, films, photos etc. it will hold. It makes no difference to how well it will work.

Go for the iphone if you want a music player that accesses the internet and does e-mail and has plenty of cool apps.

If you want a phone for text, MMS, calls etc. don't go for it.

You can't forward SMSes and you can't delete individual SMSes from a contact without deleting all SMSes from that contact.

There is a new operating system coming out this month though. and rumour of a new iPhone being announced this coming Monday, so you might want to hold off for a couple of weeks.
