Not a lot written about this young lad amongst all the glory from yesterday but I thought, in the circumstances, it was an amazing performance.

A 19 year old rookie with three games to date and thrown into an unfamiliar position in one of our biggest games for 50 years, and up against clearly their best player...he did pretty well IMHO.

Yes he started nervously and wasn't perfect but he got better as the game went on and looked solid and composed. He's a decent passer of the ball too.

He looked one for the future so surely with the cash we are getting from this FA cup run we can afford to give him a contract??

I would like to hope that a few contracts could be offered with this cup run.
265k for a live game plus all the trimmings from the next round I hope and maybe we could offer terms to our superb side.:sorted:

And presumably didn't get a penny for it? Isn't he playing for sweet nothing? First half I was seriously worried about him and expected Sunderland to play on his vulnerability but they missed and trick there - and he got better and better. Very impressive performance from such a young player by the end. Hope he gains some financial benefit from his contribution though the sheer staisfaction of being involved must have gone a long way. Was he one of the 16 who went to Abu Dhabi? Who (outside the first eleven) went, who didn't? Anyone know?

Have said since first time I saw him that he will be a star and a first bteam regular within a year or so. Just not too sure what his best position is yet as he can play FB, CH, wide right, centre midfield and striker !!

He was up against Sunderland's only player in Arser or whatever he is called.;)
Really badly exposed for his "great" goal.

Looked good yesterday. Will hopefully improve fast, becoming more than a squad player, offering a real alternative on the right side of midfield as well as defence.

Got a decent write up in the News of the World. Someone to definitely hang on to.

I thought he played well after a poor start (probably nerves) and was exposed a few times when he had little support but, I have to say his range of passing was excellent for a 19 year old in a big game. Deffo one for the future! :sorted:

Started really, really well but got timid and didn't want the ball after the clash of heads. Seemed to settle down in the second half - but I'll admit he worried me out there at times. Thought they'd go at him in the second half.

But what a learning experience - he'll be a much better player having gotten through that. :sorted:

He'll be a centre half from what I've seen. He rightly stayed back yesterday but we did miss Kev's forward momentum. The next time either Sam or Turner are suspended we have a different option though

Sadly, it would appear that Dobbo's career at the Bees may well peter out now. I had hopes for him as a combative midfielder and I would definitely prefer him to Eddie. MA doesn't see it that way, so who am I to question?

Mousinho did well after a nervous start I thought. Seems to have the raw attributes so good luck to him. I thought he seemed to have decent pace as well, which is always a bonus.

Good thread. Thought he had a cracking game. Didn`t miss Kev defensively. For his versatility he must be signed.

defo one to keep in my opinion - I thought that Sunderland would expose him as a weakness - especially as Arca is thier one international standard player...however Mick McCarthy obviously did no homework...

I was sitting in the sunderland end..and said to my mate if your boys are going to try and pump it long all day to a half fit Kyle...you are going to get murdered here!!

Was assured that Kyle doesn't get beaten in the air...ha ha....lol lol

Mousinho clearly demonstrated the ability to pass the ball with pace and accuracy - an ability which is quite rare in the lower divisions but which is essential for a quality player.

Couldn't agree more, lost one tackle in the first half and didn't put a foot wrong for the rest of the match. But then again it's hardly surprising because he's a defender and doesn't have silky skills...

Considering his age, number of games he has played, and the type of opposition we were playing.......thought he did very well, defo one for the future :sorted:

i thought he played with composure and grew in consistency throughout the match. his distribution was accurate and well planned, which is always a plus as a right back.

apparently i used to play football with him when we were about 8, according to my mate, but i cant remember.

Notre Dame is in Indiana, not Chicago, but if MA says so, I will change my map accordingly:D

Notre Dame is indeed in Indiana but it's just over the border from Illinois and a short drive from Chicago. it's possible that his family lives in the Windy City.

Given that Notre Dame are media darlings in this country with an exclusive contract from NBC to air their football games, I'm hoping that some of this will rub off on the Bees. Everyone may have to convert to Catholicism, however...

Looked class when he came on. I have raved about him ever since I first saw him. He will make us a lot of money in good time.

Great touch on the ball, uses it well and has some pace too. The problem will be to find him a position he can make his own.
