We signed him from Orient, remember him playing against us for Orient earlier in the season we signed him, ball goes out for a throw on New Road and he comes over to take it, my mate (we were about 14 at the time) shouts up at him "Oi mate, let us win" Bill responds instantly.."We're trying mate, honestly" elevating him to cult status - was made up when we signed him because of that.
