Nathan Elder

Nathan Elder

Hope this works, welcome aboard the fun bus.

His picture with AS certainly suggests that he isn't 5"9.

:owusu:

By the size of that shirt it must have been made ready for Shipps...

Assume we will see Thorpe going elsewhere?

Nathan Elder

Has an excellent goalscoring record in the lower leagues plus 2 in 2 starts (plus sub appearances) for Brighton so could potentially be an excellent signing. We now have healthy competition for places in all areas which can only be a good thing. If he can bang the goals in we have a squad which is capable of promotion next season IMHO

Nathan Elder

Fingers crossed it works out well for us - good luck Nathan

Nathan Elder

This is most peculiar as the Seagulls official site has him as 5'9" and 20 years of age (1-8-87)
Must be the sea air that made him age and grow

Nathan Elder

Welcome aboard Nathan!

Nathan Elder

welcome aboard indeed. do we think that's it for the day transfer wise then? or are we hoping for more?

Your right SB.
Anyway welcome aboard Nathan. Is this the end of Thorpe as we know it?

Nathan Elder

He'll certainly cause defenders problems you would have thought.

Nathan Elder

Where did we get £35,000 from?

Nathan Elder

Glad to see that the thought of playing for us has made him grow by something between one and 6 inches since yesterday.

On paper he seems the right sort of signing: both he and Dickson would fit the category of young players with potential whom we planned to sign (seem to remember £200k from Matthew Benham [?] was mentioned around the turn of the year)

I wouldn't expect any more signings now, except possible extensions for Stone or Parkes

Nathan Elder

i have seen him play this year for brighton reserves against bognor and he looked class.. he is quick and strong he bagged a hat-trick for brighton... a good signing

Nathan Elder

Thanks God, we are now sticking to the policy of signing young players who can improve and see their value appreciate.

A few months ago the only assets we possessed with a likely resale value were Ide and Osbourne.

Now we can add Elder and Dickson plus maybe even Connell and Poole.

This is the only way forward for a club in our position and I am delighted that sense has prevailed.

Nathan Elder

Well I'm happy.

Was hoping for a young, quick, strong goalscorer to lead the line and if we'd got him direct from Billericay no doubt we'd all be excited.

Welcome Nathan, looking forward to an average of a goal per game until the end of the season.

Haven't given up on the playoffs yet.

Nathan Elder

On paper he was everything we needed on Tuesday to nick a win so fingers crossed he can lead the line and knows how to score.

Nathan Elder

Wheey!! good news and os says he is 6 foot 3 not 5 foot 9 like soccerbase said. The new DJ??:sorted:
you've answered your own question there surely :)

Welcome aboard Mr T, you crazy fool

IMHO it would be a step too far given our start to the season but I would be very optimistic that with a pre-season behind him AS would deliver promotion next season with more deadwood being offloaded and fresh talent brought in.
