Still one of the funniest shouts I've heard at a football match was when Mr Clement was having one, of his usual, p*ss poor performances for us and had, again, been stripped on the left by an opposition forward.

The problem with Clement was that he only had one foot - he simply could not kick with the other one.

He spoke with Noades before leaving and admitted that he needed defensive coaching - which Noades said was Okay if he came on a free - but to pay £250k and then coach him was a bit too much!!!!!!

I remember us having Simon Marsh and Jason Crowe on loan, shortly after the 2-6 Brstol Rovers game, was it around then?

'twas the season before last. He played 7 games plus one substitute appearance between 23/11/99 and 8/1/00. Our record in those 8 games was won 1, drew 1, lost 6. The fact that we were handicapped by having Neil Clement in the team was a major factor in those results.

I remember seeing Neil Clement's debut for The Bees at Bournemouth, and he was shocking and got loads of stick.

Always sad to see players having to give up the game early, especially the ones that have Brentford connections.
