Of course everyone's favourite Colin carries signed photos of himself in a bumbag (fanny pack before nocoat corrects me)....
Can't do that these days.Reminds me of Wilf McGuinness when he was Bury physio.
He had lollipops in his bag, which he handed out to kids in the crowd.
So do I. He's a decent honest fella who always stands up for his player and a very good football manager.I like him..
Then he should stay away from football.Outside of the theatre of football he is supposedly a really nice guy.
Even in the PL when he’s failed to keep a team up they were never whipping boys. One of the key attributes of a good manager, in football or otherwise, is the ability to get the most out of the resources available. On that metric he’s a very good manager and does so while being liked by his players. He knew how to get the best out of his players. His teams fully understood their roles . Re the style, it sucked. But he would say if you don't like it then beat it. Very successful manager but not at the top tier where his methods failed.
Thought his home was on Devon/Cornwall border. As others have said strikes me as a really nice bloke away from football management. Always seems intelligent, and polite , even when slagging off refs,etc...!Didn't realise according to his Wiki page he's local to the Bees living in Richmond.
Yes it says he has a home in Cornwall so assumed it was a second one.Thought his home was on Devon/Cornwall border. As others have said strikes me as a really nice bloke away from football management. Always seems intelligent, and polite , even when slagging off refs,etc...!
He has a house in Sheen, I guess from his days managing some local team.Didn't realise according to his Wiki page he's local to the Bees living in Richmond.
Yes, I saw an interview once where he said one of the reasons he took the job was so his missus could see Michael Bublé at Richmond Theatre. He has a house in Sheen, I guess from his days managing some local team.
That explains why I saw him in Richmond Town Centre a few years back. If only I'd known he was carrying a stash of signed photos ready to hand out... lol.Didn't realise according to his Wiki page he's local to the Bees living in Richmond.
How can you play a match in a brown envelope? Maybe if you're in the Philippines Cup and appearing for Manil(l)a FC
I actually think he is very good at what he does. Promotion out of the Championship. Staying up was his problem. Always good for a quote and a laugh though.spoke to him a couple of weeks ago at the scarborough v Bradford park ave game.nice chap
