There is still hope for Kevin O'Connor yet.![]()

Hope so. Any idea when. One or two this season would be a bonus...................!!! Even one would be a start, or a shot or an assist. Sorry , but KOCs abysmal form this season is one of the key reasons for our poor league position. He flatters to deceive, and deserved to be dropped weeks ago. Sad thing is that the symbolic dropping to the bench only lasted 2/3 of a game and he'll probably be back next week wandering about aimlessly on the pitch.

or as me & my mates tend to call him most times he plays...
..."O'Connor you c**t!".
Bish said:Glad that the Eire U21 management team, see things different to some of you lot over Kev. I have a surprise for you lot even the top players in the world have dips in form.
Chiswick bee said:exactly how close are we to securing the services of midfield dynamo nicky butt and secondly, would be go straight into the team against the posh? I reckon he would have to contend with the bench for the first match!!
mhead bee said:I am surprised at this.
I think kevin is a real workhorse and definately the water carrier of the team.
swr22 said:I would have an Evans-O'Connor centremidfield pairing above any other combination. Hutch and Jay Smith are not upto it, I am yet to be convinced by Roget, and the two I picked can pass a football along the ground from time to time rather than aimlessly hoofing it upfield!
More like a month!shaun said:On a similiar topic - I have never really rated Nicky Butt & always thought that he along with Phil Neville (who it seems has proven me wrong) leveraged off of the Man U Youth team to First team connection. It will be interesting to see where he goes.
Do you think that his wage bill for a week would equal our squads for say a fortnight?!![]()
Bish said:I would sooner keep Kev, than Evans or Peters or Fieldwick or Hutchy Baby.
Atto Bee said:Kevin O'Connor facts:
Home grown talent
Good tackler/header/passer, hard working
Quality player with international recognition
Best position - Central Midfield
Poor form recently
Suffered from not having a regular position or partner in CM
Will pull through bad form
Will benefit from a rest
Will help the club away from relegation
Will be one of the first names on the team sheet next season and back to his best.

Now why dont we start a new thread and slag off another one of our players!!!
yay!!!
what fun!!!!
North London Bee said:For a current U21 international I think KO'C has been a total disappointment this season.
he has never taken a game by the scruff of the neck and acted as a leader.
He has been workmanlike as a rightsided midfielder but after a couple of good performances when moved into central midfield - his international position, he has stood still.
1 good free kick goal v Gainsborough and an excellent near post flick-on for Tabb's winner at Wycombe do not a season make.
Time for him to shape up in my opinion and demonstrate not only his ability but also his leadership.
