We do use the turf rather more under Uwe so it worth the investment. Perhaps Scotty only played the ball in the sky cos there was no money for a decent pitch back then.

Will the new 1metre wider pitch make much difference to us do you think? Maybe only when we play two decent wide players?
Pitch looks OK in the photos but so did it last season.

My guess is that it was also an essential pre-requisite towards Chelsea agreeing to play their Reserve games at GP again.

And the 5 years (minimum) before the club moves to LR means that the club can invest on slightly longer timescales than the current season-to-season basis.

Visited Griffin Park today and spent a few minutes viewing the pitch from ground level and then from top of D Block.

At ground level it is obvious the grass is only just taking hold but with 5 weeks to go that is more than enough time for it to bond.

From top of D Block it looks the absolute dogs dangly bits - If promotion was based on how the pitch looks then we have just won the Champions League !

The pitch always looks great in august since uncle Ron invested in decent drainage anyway..... I will judge how good it is after Christmas and keep my fingers crossed the grounds men don't put weed killer in the paint again

One thing through, we could only widen it by a metre as we have to have 3 metres from the advertising boards?
The Ra Ra's don't have that at Loftus Road do they?

Think you will find he got Barclays to invest he was happy just to pretend he was.
