New Stripes

New Stripes

You seemed to cope admirably with my pint of Kronenburg last season. :sorted:

I just knew you would bring that up Jim! I suppose I can cope with the odd pint of C0 2 now and again, but Malvern bee is right, there are many good choices around the ground if you want a good pint of real ale. That is why I rarely go to Stripes/hive whatever.

New Stripes

looks good but carling and grolsch?

surely we can get some better lagers in than that.

also worthingtons is crap, why not a decent ale?

x

New Stripes

Problem with real ale is the sell by date. You would have to shift a barrel a match (90 pints) as I cant see it staying fresh for two weks unless you use a cask breather.

Kronenburg please,a good lager :sorted:

Double the size.....double the staff....I think not.
you will still have just two behinf bar trying to serve everyone. I think the 'jug idea is good. Four pints in one go......sweeeeet.

Better if they did have a real ale tho. They can buy the smaller barrels to see how it goes at first. Maybe a fullers ale to start with ?

New Stripes

I can't really see the need to change the name back to Stripes. It would be an unnecessary expense. I always refer to the place as the 'bar in the ground' anyway. It is good the bar has been made larger although in hindsight shouldn't of really been made that small. Beer range will always be a problem and never please everyone. A real ale would be nice and the idea of a polypin type barrel would also be a good idea but i imagine would be more stress for the staff. Leyton Orient know how to run a bar.

Well done though for getting the bar ready for this evenings game.

New Stripes

They certainly had 1664 in there last year but looking at the picture it looks like it's no longer on offer

To strong for the BYE so we have to drink Carling

New Stripes

I am sure it has been mentioned previously but.......

Any chance of the Bar Staff pulling 60 pints at about 3:35pm. People will not mind a beer that has been sitting there five minutes if it means they get served in an instant. Especially in the winter time

Exactly! We went in there on Tuesday night and seeing the queue walked straight out again. Managed to get a drink in the refreshment bar instead though.

New Stripes

Visited the NEW Bar on Wednesday.

Bar twice as long and looks very nice.

Serving staff the same (And the one I got was a trainee I think)

Large que formed - I watched 7 people give up and leave.

Is it Rocket Science to work it out ???
