Newcastle (H)

As we pledged at the beginning of the season, we have designated a number of Category B games for My Bees Members who signed up early and have not previously had the chance to get a ticket for a home League Game, Newcastle United is the last designated game.

My Bees Members who bought their membership before July 27 and haven't attended a home Premier League game yet: Monday 17 January, 2pm (one per person, subject to availability)

All My Bees Members (subject to availability): Thursday 20 January, 2pm (one per person, subject to availability).

200 of these Match Tickets will be available to purchase at the Box Office only. If tickets are not sold out in the Box Office after two weeks they will be made available online.

I would have thought this would be one of the last games to choose for this.

Newcastle (H)

... seeing that is what it says in the last line of the first paragraph, good shout.
That didn't come across how I intended.
There must be quite a few Newcastle fans that bought memberships so they could get tickets for this game.

Ant and Dec.
They will bring their Baftas with them in a see through bag.
They have a new catchphrase
"Do you know who we are?".

They live closer to BCS than all of us I think.About a 2 minute walk.
Unless they moved.
My mate used to be their postman.

I got a small dog at home.

Hah, and I thought I could finally come to London for Burnley match and get the ticket easily because I have not bought any this season.

Quiet on this thread.

Anyone able to access the ticket site at the moment for this match to see what tickets are still available? Hoping there'll be good West stand availability tomorrow afternoon.

Newcastle (H)

No
The site is only available to Members who have not yet been to a Home PL Game

Maybe if I ask on a Newcastle Forum, they can have a look for you!!

In terms of good availability, it depends what you are comparing it to.

I did some detective work when the Everton game went on sale and within a minute or so of sales starting the total available tickets were

west stand upper = 90
west stand lower = 208
east stand upper = 555
east stand lower = 620
south stand lower = 66
North stand = 377

I also helped a member buy Wolves tickets who did NOT qualify for the special priority window, and I did not compare like with like in detail, but I did not get the impression this special offer had been particularly well subscribed, almost the whole of one of the blocks in the East stand was still available and there was the usual availability in other east stand blocks.

I do not agree this special offer was a gift to legions of secret away fans, as some others seem to insist. I do not think it is likely that many away fans at all would have been keen enough to pay the price for a membership nice and early in July, and sit on it for six months, just waiting for the chance to use it once. Having said that, if the club were only intending to offering it three times I'd really have thought they'd offer it for Burnley at home instead. Shrug.

I think offering it for a fixture more than half our current regulars swerved in the Championship and L1 would have been a poor offer!

Newcastle (H)

If there's any members who can't get to this one, but still fancy some TAPs, let me know as I'll need an extra 2 for this one. For ex-STHs from L1 & L2 days.
Cheers

Newcastle (H)

On sale now. Just bought mine in South.

Newcastle (H)

As usual, the “choose the best seats” button thinks the best seat for me is at the front at the southeast corner :(

Mind you it was a good spot for Wissa’s celebration v Villa :)

Newcastle (H)

System has done me over, ended up with more in my basket to assign than people I can assign it to, and it's sold out so can't empty basket and go back in ?

Newcastle (H)

Managed to get three together just before they sold out, but every time I use it in these circumstances I find the site a nightmare to negotiate.
It’s so stressful! I gave up trying to pick seats after the first couple of fixtures, the only way is to hit auto and hope for the best.

tout them :sneaky: Stan Flaslan

Newcastle (H)

Ticket in basket, press Pay and then f*** all happens. Hate this poxy ticket site.

Newcastle (H)

I need a couple extras anyway, but this basket has more than the extras and & there's not enough F&F to get to payment page lol
Sorted over the phone suspiciously easy and quickly ?

Very limited availability for this one. Eventually managed to get two together in the east stand. The interactive seat selection system was not really working very well.
Clicked on two random seats showing as available only to be informed that the seats were not available. Clicked on two seats together showing as not available and hey presto they showed up as available. This booking system is pony to say the least.

Yeah very few tickets available, and the same usual issues with this absolute gash ticketing system. I've ended up in the East stand as well.
I suppose I better get myself a half-and-half scarf so that I fit in.

Thanks. I removed your attachment as it had personal details in it

Thanks. Although quite a few other issues have been resolved or mitigated, this one just goes on and on. We've told the club that it is the biggest frustration and needs to be their number 1 focus, but we haven't had any updates on this one ever. So we go again.

Thank you. Appreciate you looking into it. I'll email the club and see what they have to say. No doubt a London based Geordie will snap it up in the meantime. :banghead:

It times out after 20 mins so there will be another chance to grab it then

Newcastle (H)

Yep, you can always select the tickets that other people struggled with as well that go back onto the site after 20 mins. Keep checking until the club tweet to say it's sold out. Can always do the exchange nearer the time as well!

Have you bought other tickets recently?
Not sure if it's an accessibility setting on your phone/pc but there should be a tick box next to "I agree.."

Tickets for our home fixture against Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are sold out online but a small number of tickets are still available at the Box Office to all My Bees Members who have not yet purchased a ticket.

Re. Newcastle game, being lazy and asking you as can’t work it out ?
I have around 930 taps, but daughter is junior member with only a few…… will I be able to get two by pitching up at the ticket orifice or what date do they open up to all members? Cheers in advance

As far as I am aware yes it is open to all members regardless of taps.

Newcastle (H)

How ridiculous is this...

Brentford fans with membership and TAPS who live miles from GP, work 9 -5, or live overseas CANNOT buy Newcastle Tickets on line.

Meanwhile Newcastle fans who live in London or know someboy local can just rock up at the ticket office and purchase in the home end.

Newcastle (H)

it’s not ridiculous, miles from being perfect but it’s an attempt to get the tickets to brentford fans. Totally out with the club’s control if some minted geordies want to spend money on a membership.
Only way to counteract is to significantly increase cost if membership…… but then you’ve got to give a lot more benefits to the members….. and that ain’t happening.

Newcastle (H)

Ridiculous.........so a London based Geordie "member" can waltz up to the box office, but us who are miles away have no chance!
Yes. Spot on.

Mr Varney reacted when the absurdities of the club’s policy on flogging tickets in the home end to away fans reached boiling point. The way to change this other, latest fiasco is to make the same racket, IMHO.
