So, we got rid of train strikes, but unfortunately we haven’t got rid of f***ing engineering works and a sh*t joke of a service.

Heads up to anyone coming up from the south on Saturday…. Over three hours, four changes and an hour and a half on a f***ing bus.

Look out for a few tickets on the exchange.….

There are direct trains to Clapham Junction via Havant from Southampton Central, it's just the route via Winchester / Basingstoke that is out.

Nada ECR-CLJ a-gain  so the tedious LBG diversion for south coast bees compounded further by nada LBG-WAE
A rammed Jubilee line awaits (n)

Crazy that 3x mainline stations (CHX/EUS/VIC) are out of action for the whole weekend

Newcastle (H)

Looks like no trains from Ashford - Hounslow either. Bus replacement service. So f***ing annoying

No-one is going to miss Charing Cross at a weekend.

Well I will. Nearly missed train WAT-KWB the last time CHX/WAE was closed at the same time as the Southern LBG diversion - Jubilee was rammed with a reduced service had to let 2x tubes pass before could board.
So will be allowing extra time this weekend and walking LBG-WAT instead if not pissing down.
Fafftastic :(

What's with all the internal three-letter codes, do you think everyone will know what WAE is? Because I don't

And why are you walking from London Bridge to Watford?

I only speak in three letter station abbreviations

If you're OK with walking from London Bridge to Waterloo, why not stay on to Blackfriars, get the tube and walk from Gunnersbury/ Kew Gardens instead?

Meeting friends @VXH

Tell them to get the Victoria Line and meet at that crappy Shakespeare pub outside the station :)
+travelling from HOV not BTN with no service direct from the former to BFR
same number of changes either way and KWB routing still quicker than GUN

Newcastle (H)

Again this is beyond a joke, how many times has this particular piece of line needed work?

It should be so stable and top class by now??

A coincidence that the senior works planner is a big fan of a soon to be league 1 west London team. (allegedly)

Newcastle (H)

Same crap from this end......KLN to Elly....bus from Ely to Cambridge..........Cambridge to Kings Cross
Easier now from P/Boro!

Waterloo East. And he’s right. A quick change at London Bridge and straight onto a Southeastern service to Waterloo East is far easier than having to faff about with getting the tube.

So, just to confirm, South West Trains from Staines to Kew Bridge and return aren't running over the weekend? Bus replacement instead?

Correct. Well, bus replacement to Hounslow then the train from there is running.

For anyone who normally travels from Virginia Water, Chertsey, Addlestone or Weybridge there is a service (hourly I think) which you can take and change at Clapham to get the train to Kew Bridge.

Fecking drive from the M3 will take bloody ages again by the looks of it.

Am I right in thinking no trains between Clapham J and Brentford? Have to go from CJ to Hounslow and then back that way?

Don’t think so all trains seem to be going from Waterloo go via Clapham to Kew and Brentford.

Ok, thank you, I think the website is giving me a funny route to save a minute or two

I need to find a different route home that doesn’t involve the flimmin 65. I’ve been walking to S.Ealing/Acton Tn, but it’s killing me now. (I usually collapse into Costa S.Ealing just as the first rammed 65s arrive.)
Any suggestions? Are the buses on the A4 any better?

Newcastle (H)

On the buses these days. Change at White City or Hammersmith. Works well.

Where are you aiming to get to?

Newcastle (H)

Fewer trains and the ongoing M4 flyover strengthening works. Traffic has been terrible the last few weeks.
Ah, OK thanks.
Thought there might have been M3 > Kew, road closures I wasn't aware of.

My main concern is A303/Stonehenge Easter Holiday traffic.....

Newcastle (H)

A heads-up for those using the Piccadilly &/or District lines .... signal failure earlier at Acton Town .... hopefully, the service will get ironed out as time passes, but I suggest travellers allow more time for their journey .... or, of course, find an alternative route.
