Going to be very tough, we only got 4 pts from the reverse fixtures, i dont think 4pts again will be the end of the world, as that would leave us with 7 home games and only 4 away.

We are top of the league, I think accepting a point each from those games would be dissapointing. Two wins and two draws would be very acceptable.

I think we have got real prospects of getting at least 8 points from these next four games. Rochdale have the archetypal hoofing, physical defenders, but also are effective in the final third and Buckley, Le Fondre, Dagnall et el will certainly cause us problems. However, I think we've improved since they came to GP and am hoping for a point at least at Spotland.

I am hoping for all 3 points against Bury, mainly because we've looked virtually unbeatable at GP this season; Bishop and the wiley Morrell will have to be kept underwraps by Bennett, Phillips/Osborne, but think we have got a vastly improved squad to the one who lost 1-0 at Gigg Lane and they showed last week against Dagenham they are prone to leaking goals. Very confident we can get a win if we play to our full potential.

Grimsby actually have some very decent players who have lost their way or aren't wanted by their parent clubs, such as Dean Sinclair (wouldn't mind seeing him in a Brentford shirt TBH), Stuart Elliott etc, but they have been pretty poor for most of the season and don't have a solid defence. They have continously thrown away leads and again, although it is up norf, I fully expect 3 points. If we have automatic promotion aspirations, then it should be a win.

Rotherham, to their credit, have done well in the face of adversity and did pretty well at GP; they have hit and miss strikers such as Reid, Rhodes and also this Jamie Clarke who always got rave reviews when at Accrington, but barring his last game hat trick for them, didn't score many more (1 I think). They have shown great resilliance and the atmosphere at the Don Valley Stadium (apparently) is non-exsistant because of the distance between pitch and stand. However, we should at least be able to nick a draw as they have come back into form after a run of poor defeats, including against Grimsby.

I think they are all must win games, although, if you offered me a point from the away games, I'd take it,

Hamer must keep a clean sheet, if we intend to win 1-0, or maybe 2-0
I also think, if we want to win, we need to score. McDonald, Rhodes and sometimes Elder should be asked to do this.

Rochdale is quite cold, and northern.
Recent experience at Lincoln, Macclesfield and Accrington does not bode well (Didnt go to Morecambe)....however, history is written by the victors and you can sum up the mistakes of the governments of the western world, by their failure to learn from history.

In summary, cold, dank, I'd take a point and a kit kat chunky please

but we are about to enter the stadium, for the final few laps, in front of the crowd....Wycombe, Rochdale, Bury and others are on our shoulders, but we are still holding shape, looking good.
Wycombe look weary (I personally think they have shat themselves -a la Paula Radcliffe) Rochdale are eyeing up the best time to attack....oooohhh it's tense, where's that water table ?

4 very hard games.
They are also hard games for them, I expect to win all 4 but there again my expectations often outweigh what we get.
We owe Rochdale one, we murdered Bury for 7 minutes, Grimsby are a different side and Rotherham are pretty decent at home.
8 points please.

I'll drink to that. To my simple mind 8 points from those games will go a long way to my prediction that we will secure automatic promotion at Bournemouth (my next attendance at a Bees match).:sorted:

As I have said in another thread, 4 tough games that I would be very happy with 8 points from. We follow these with 3 back to back home games and we can afford to drop a few points if we then take at least 7 from those 3, which I think we will, in fact I think we ll take 9!

Looking at our recent record Grimsby may well be the toughest of these games, although Rochdale will be not walk in the park. If we can get through it without losing we will have done extremely well, I think we ll beat Bury so if we could take one win from the other 3 it would be great.

My prediction:

Rochdale - Draw
Bury - Win
Grimsby - Lose
Rotherham - Win

Rotherham - Draw

We have shown we can come back from defeat so no game is a "must win" game.

A point or three would be great from Rochdale but we would get over it if we lost.

I think we will struggle against Bury. I know we are vastly improved from last year but Bury have the same backline or at least it's based around Sodje again and they looked very good when they pasted us 4-0 at home last year.

I'm not expecting that sort fo result my point is I think Bury will be incredibly hard to score against.
