NFL 2011

NFC - Saints and Falcons
AFC - Texans and Broncos ;-)

NFL 2011

Go Texans !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My boy was at the game (The company has 4 season tickets) and he is in the process of booking his flight to Baltomore for next weekends encounter.

NFL 2011

Tebow doing the business so far, 20-6 up vs Steelers at HT

NFL 2011

So whats everyone take on the Divisional games ?

In the AFC side, I cannot see the Tebow miracle carrying, Patriots will run riot.
I think the Ravens will have too much for the Texans.

On the NFC side a little harder to predict. The Saints are the hottest team in football and they will face a test at Candlestick but I think they will come through it.

I'd make Green Bay favourates but the Giants have wild card Eli on their side, Packers to just squeeze through.

Probably agree with that. When the Giants beat the Pats in the Super Bowl didn't they win at Lambeau on the way?

NFL 2011

Tebow Time over I reckon. Pats, Texans, Saints and Packers

NFL 2011

According to the Metro this morning Katie Perry's mum is playing match maker between the erstwhile Mrs Brand and Tim Tebow

The old mantra in the NFL was offense wins games but defense wins championships so I'm not quite sure what to make of the two bottom ranked defenses in the league having the number 1 seed in their respective conferences. I guess I view both the Patriots and Packers as being a bit like Spurs when they were trying 5-0-5, fun to watch but likely to be found out by better teams. It's hard to imagine the Patriots not learning from the Broncos defeat of the Steelers, but they are vulnerable against the pass and were probably focussing a lot of their preparations on the Steelers. The Oilers & Ravens teams seem to be mirror images of each other (excellent defense, solid running, dodgy QB) and in the NFC you have 2 games which are basically games which will be decided by a good defence facing a great offense.

Frankly I'm glad that gambling isn't compulsory as I'd be scratching my head this week.

Oilers? I guess old habits die hard

Oops, looks like I've had a senior moment. Now if the Texans had the Oilers (aka the Titans now) QB I might actually think they'd be the AFC's likely SuperBowl contender, it's hard to make the SuperBowl with a guy that the coaches thought wasn't as good as Matt Leinert at the start of the season.

They could always just have him hand it off to Arian Foster 50 times

NFL 2011

It's a passing league nowadays, if your QB can't get the job done or makes too many mistakes you tend to lose heavily.

NFL 2011

What a game. Nip and tuck all the way and especially at the end. Thought the 49'ers had blown it but won 36-32.

NFL 2011

Couldn't watch as sky put the NFL tonight on sky sports 3/4 which us freebies customers can't get. Least tomorrows games I can watch

NFL 2011

Go 49ers, one of the best games I have ever seen, even better than the Giants-49ers wild card game back in 2001/2.

I've aged 100 years after watching that !

NFL 2011

just watched the highlights, wow, see-saw stuff in Q4! Brady sorted Tebow out too, i see :sorted:

NFL 2011

Strong performances from 49ers and Pats last night.
Hoping for the same from the Pack but.....

NFL 2011

looks like the Pack have blown it. Very shabby so far from them, Rogers not on sync and some bad drops.

NFL 2011

Well done to the Giants, did not fancy the 49ers at Lambeau but now they will be favourates to make the superbowl representing the NFC. However 49ers and Giants have play-off history between them, and their defense has stepped up big time.

Predictions now - Harbough bowl ? Or Eli vs Pats II ?

49ers-Pats superbowl I think, I don't trust Flacco to the job despite the Pats poor secondary.

NFL 2011

Who the **** is Tim Tebow ???? ha ha ha.....The Pats blew him away.

NFL 2011

GBP peaked too soon. They were awful last night, couldn't believe how bad :(

Well played Manning & Co

Championship weekend approaching

Pats and Giants for me although expecting two close games

Atmosphere in candlestick was great last week. It's a fantastic old stadium with a camperhome park in the car park! Big fan of the Giants but would love to see SF in the superbowl again. As for the other game, who cares!?

NFL 2011

My 49'ers mate over here wants to know something about a Soccer result from yesterday in the UK
An analogy whereby it was the first time since 1981 that they had beaten them ... Anyone know what game that is / was

NFL 2011

how did he miss that??????????????????

NFL 2011

Ravens nearly had a touchdown with seconds remaining .. was snatched out of the guys hands.
Then to tie the game with 32 yards to kick .. the young guy blew it big style. As he walked up to take it he didn't look confident, not composed. Tough on the Ravens I guess.

Asked guys here what would have happened if the Ravens game went into 30 minutes overtime ... 2 games on at same time on TV and they said the second game that was due to start at 6:30 ET, would be delayed. The power of TV !

NFL 2011

Amazing end of the game. Gotta feel for the kicker

NFL 2011

Cracking finish, the faces on the Ravens management and players said it all

Too much pressure. He should have taken his time and tried to compose himself. All good in hindsight, but I guess that is his career over and done with now !

NFL 2011

Not sure I've ever seen a FG missed from that distance

NFL 2011

It kind of reminds me of the FG that Scott Norwood missed against the Giants in Super Bowl 25. Norwood's was longer than Billy Cundiff's though. Very sad for Cundiff but as a Patriots fan I'm absolutely delighted. :D WIDE LEFT. WIDE LEFT! :D

Gutted with the results.

The 49ers gave it their all. Were magnificient in defense they battered Eli.

However those two mistakes by the kid Walker cost us dearly. Plus some missed opportunities to pick off Eli. I feel for Walker, I'd lay the blame on Alex Smith and the offense. 1/14 3rd down conversions will lose you most games. And Crabtree was totally anonymous.

However proud of the side, after 9 years of losing, we have a team to be proud off, some great memories to look back on this season.

Giants were awesome, Eli is close to Elite if not already there. And their Defense was again strong. They will give the Pats a good game and I feel their name is on the trophy.
