I have a season ticket in D block, mainly for the view and also to feel young:) . Many there have been coming many years more than me, my first game was 1967 as a young whipper snapper. Many even assisted financially to stave off the QPR takeover, and yet they appear to believe that the current threat to our existence is not there and all will be alright in the end.
Its an area of the ground where a majority in there are season ticket holders, as you cannot buy tickets on match days for the stand. So as I have previously indicated, it could be that season ticket holders in D block are targeted for meeting. However as many do not live in the local area, it would probably be best for a meeting before a home saturday game. I'm sure if they received an invitation to meet at 1.30 somewhere close to the ground if not within it, many would attend.

You mean like the piece on page 2 the week after the protests post-Crewe game which qouted half of Bish's speech?;)

aBee, 'absolutely childish' wasnt quite what i said was it, and I have already admitted before that I was a bit hasty to jump down your throat on that occasion so no need to bring it up again.
On that occasion I was merely trying to defend my colleagues on the sports desk, surley not such a crime, but have you thought about writing to them if you dont think they are doing their job properly?
Writing about what is happening behind the scenes at the club is their job, for my own part I do what feel I can to help the cause by writing about and publicing things like the BIAS roadshows, walk to Wycombe, Cllr Kirton encouraging people to sign up to Bees United standing orders etc.

I suggest that Jim Levack's post tells you the answer that I would get if I suggested that anyone at The Chronny gets a bit more aggressive with their Noades coverage. Even Jim admits that he backed off following the phone call threatening his wife and family so I can guess that the reply would be :-

" You've gotta be kidding mate. I've got a wife, kids and a mortgage to worry about".

Thankyou Sir, unfortunately I am only able to get on the grapevine about once a week so may seem a little slow replying to threads, unlike your good self who I see managed to get in a reply within the two minutes between posting my last post and editing it!
If I knew I would be walking into a minefield by sticking up for my colleagues when I did I really would not have bothered.
What I do object to is the all-too-quick-and-easy slating of the paper as a whole and the sometimes insinuation that we are all eating out of Noades hand at Chronicle towers.
I will continue to do all I can to assist Bees United and BIAS in the publicity stakes, so if you have a problem with the sports desk please do contact them rather than just writing off the paper as a whole.

To be fair its not about knocking supporters more about realising how much further the PR needs to go before the penny drops with a wider audience of supporters. I doubt many in D block read message boards etc......

I can assure you this season ticket holder from D Block reads and contributes to the GPG and is most pissed off with whole the situation. Go take a look at my postings for the last week to see where I'm coming from.

I am biting my tongue from saying the things I really feel as I don't want to jeopardise our future. How long I keep these thoughts to myself is another matter.

Actually when there is nothing much on the telly and I am in London ( about one week in four actually) I hang around on the GPG to ambush tired reporters :cool: :cool:

I also don't have my name on the " currently on the board" list so no one knows that I'm here. ;)

Without wishing to intrude upon your private affairs, what did
Noades actually say in this regard? I find it absolutely disgraceful that Noades could stoop so low as this and he risked having the full extent of criminal law come down upon him if he did threaten
your family. He tarnished our club's good name if he did threaten
you and your family and has forfeited any right to respect.

This man is not fit to run a football club or indeed any club. We should have been wary four years ago after he shafted Palace.
How much longer do clubs have to be beholden to such people?
When will the ordinary supporters be in a position to take control of their clubs and consign the likes of the mendacious and
deceitful Noades to history? It can't happen too soon.

Re flags and banners:

To instruct your lackie stewards to remove and confiscate banners
you may find offensive or embarrassing, Ron, is not something
that endears you to the assembled.

What if we all did banners? Steve Biko said "you can blow out
a candle, but you can't blow out a fire!". What is the whole
of GP was one mass of anti-Noades banners? Could he ignore
or remove them then?

Stewards removing contentious banners reminds me of scenes
from Nazi Germany or apartheid South Africa. So much for
free speech, Ron. We've got you on the run pal!
