Boys and girls, I have something to share with you!

For those of you who see this in time, Travelodge are doing a 2 nights for the price of one offer if you stay before 31st October. So me and two other people have got 1 room for 3 adults for the Friday and Saturday for the total cost of £49.95! Less than £20 each! You must book by tomorrow though!

www.travelodge.co.uk/metro

for the special offer, if you want 3 people in a room though, the website won't let you, so you have to book it for two then ring em up and say you want 3 people, there is no extra charge.

Nottingham Riverside is the nearest one, 2 miles from Meadow Lane.

I hope this helps someone!

Dont forget you have hooters in nottingham the best place to go when you r in that neck of the woods.

Notts County

whats the stroy with tickets on this one? where is the place to go to get cheapo seats in cattle class?

Notts County

Last season, it was all about the Midland Mainline 4-sight tickets (4 for £44), a nice early train and a few beers in Hooooters!!;)

Notts County

still got the return leg (didn't get checked back from saltergate) don't suppose this is gonna help much

Seem to miss this fixture more than any other. I think tihs is the 3rd in 5 years I'll be absent from. Off to Tenerife for the week - my scedule's not as good as the coatless but we get back at 5am on the day of the Barnsley game, have to play for Hey Jude in the IFA Cup in the morning and helping Bish with the Scooter evening after the match. I'm going to be :zzzzz: by Sunday.

I'll be going from Leicester for this one.

However the best deal is still the £48 for 4.

However they aren't available on the 9.55.

It is only 90 minutes by train so the 10.55 will be ok, but 8.55 might be better for most ;) ;)

Notts County

Just been told I'm on the 8.55 (yes I am actually going to this one) :D

Notts County

i will be travelling from the other direction

meet you all before the match for a drink tho - any ideas where? ;) :bound:

Notts County

Sorry usual foursome  but needs must (the need involving a duck, and the breaking of ;) )

I think you may have taken me to that family pub in Kings Cross before.

As for the mate hunting, I have managed to find 9 mates (well 9 people that want tickets:D )

I am sure that I will be able to find another 2 mates to makes the full quota, especially when they know I am going, or more to the point the fact it is only £12 return:D

Notts County

I think I might make the trip for this one.

See you all in Hooters (if it's still open). I heard a nasty rumour it had closed down.

Going with 5 mates from Reading on the friday night as this will be my first visit to Meadow Lane

Any one know of decent clubs / pubs to go out on the friday night ?

There are loads of places to go. Your best bet is to head towards the Lace Market area. Very lively and packed now that the students are back.

As for clubs, it all depends on what you're into. Tell me what type of music/women you want and I'll point you in the right direction. (Even though I'm far too old for that sort of entertainment myself)

Unless Trandy comes up and insists on being chaperoned by me and being introduced to some mid 30's divorcees, I shall content myself with a lengthy session down Hooters. :D

Right Ash Bee, here goes!

For your pre club drinking, try Blue, Indigo, Dogma, the Sugar Bar or the Quilted Llama (really!), all in the Lace Market area - all these have a late license so you might not need to go to a club.

As for clubs, you're right , the Palais is really cheesy. If you fancy pulling a 17 year old single mother, that's your place.
If you're into dance music try The Bomb - underground house with mostly students, no dress restrictions. More upmarket is Media, smarter and trendier with much better looking women (at least it was when I last went). If your're still in the Lace Market you might try Faces - R & B with more sharp looking black lads. For an older crowd and Forest players (though hopefully not on a Friday night), the Lizard Lounge, also in the Lace Market, is OK.

Wherever you go, it's hard not to find somewhere to get slaughtered and some women to chat up. However any rumours you might have heard about 3 women to every bloke are, I'm afraid a myth.

Anyway, come and say hello at Hooters on Saturday and tell us how you got on.

I thought the other 2 sets were safe on my table in the front room, but my housemate must have thrown them out when he was tidying up!!!

But don't worry I phoned Midland Mainline and they are printing them again and will be ready for me to collect on Saturday morning.
