who do we think should be our number 1?

Nikki Bull or Lewis Price not that we have seen either fully yet but i feel Bull has an edge on Price?

whats the general feel?

Number 1

Price had a good game yesterday IMO. Fairly solid looking keeper and made a good save late in the first half. Missed BCFC on Tues but it's good to know there's real competition for the jersey

Number 1

Price is in possession but Bull is a very good back-up. We need to give Price at least 10 games (when he is available).

Number 1

price is a better shot stopper was poor with kicking and control of his box at carlise and the first half against brighton but got much better in the second and started to show what a good keeper he can be

Number 1

Price has only conceded one goal so far... give him at least ten games to show what he can do.

Number 1

Too early to tell.

Number 1

Price has the better pedigree.
I should imagine he will be playing in most of the games, unless we go on some disasterous run of calamatous games....in which he is at fault for goals.

Number 1

It is too early to tell really, but there is something I don't like about Price on first viewing. He really did not look at home when high balls came into the box, the disallowed goal on Saturday was a foul on him, but it was his error in the first place that lead to it. I'm by no means dropping him on one mistake, but I'd like to see more confidence from him on crosses/corners

Number 1

Price looked a lot more confident on Saturday than he did against Carlisle.
Bull looked good on Tuesday. But he seemed to like punching more than catching.

Still plenty of room for improvement by both of them.

Number 1

I would agree that it is too early to say at present

Agree. Price looked a little shaky on crosses in the first half on Saturday, but Brighton were putting crosses under the bar with 2 or 3 big guys trying to get in his way.

Good to have competition for the place

He [Price] has been a better clubs than Aldershot :sorted:

I heard nothing about any other interest in Nikki Bull, despite his efforts to leave Aldershot for the past few seasons.....

Just my opinion, of course......but a few games in the team, for Price, could elevate him to Hamer status, in due course.

Benstead is cup-cake tied

Bully every time. I have seen him dozens of times over recent seasons (my neighbour is Aldershite) he comes to Brentford with me and I watch them when I can't get to away games. I'm telling you, and it will be proven later in the season I am right. One thing he does well is command his area, something which Price does not. Time will tell.

seeing as roy carroll has left derby do you think they will re call price now?

is there a call back clause or is he with us for the season?

If it is a year long loan, I do not think they can re-call him, but there may be clauses, of course...

Normally on year-long loans you can do it in January.

However, you might be able to do it before the end of August (it's all to do with transfer windows)

Carroll was always going and has been allowed to find another club and agree a settlement even before Price was loaned to us. They signed Cloughs former Burton keeper as cover anyway. :sorted:
