Number plate

I've been offered a number plate by a member of the family but I don't have any idea how much it is worth, or how much to offer for it.
I've been asked to make an offer.

The number plate is TH5 8EES

How much is it worth ?!

Take care .... whatever car you put this on must be newer than September 08

Surely the number plate is actually TH 58 EES?

Yep, it's TH58 EES, but there is surely no harm in displaying it as TH5 8EES.

A member of my family offered me the plate and all I had to do was make him a reasonable offer, but I didn't want to take the pi** and offer too far below the market price. Thing is I don't know what the market price is or even what a reasonable offer would be !
£200 ?

If any Bees fan is interested in purchasing this, let me know and how much they would be willing to offer for it and I'll get it for them.
I've already got a novelty plate and don't have a car over a year old to put this new one (TH5 8EES) on, so won't be getting it for myself.

Watch out for Barnet fans trying to buy it ! :nono:

To the right person probably worth about £1000.

Beware if you space the numbers/letters out other than how they are meant, it's a great excuse for Plod to pull you over... also if you're car has to go in for an MOT its a fail...!

You've already got one your good lady wife bought for you, so don't hurt her feelings by discarding that, I'll take this new one off your hands for a certain figure.

but to most 'interested' people it's only worth around £200! Only the owner is going to be aware of the significance.

i'd offer a tenner and then while he's looking at me funny i'd smash my wine glass and use it to tear out his eyes, then i'd set fire to his car and sh*t in his mums ear while asking him why he ever ever asked me to price a number plate.

What you need to do is make up 2 sets of plates - one with the correct spacing and one with the personalised spacing. Then just put the correctly spaced ones on when driving to and from your MoT.

I don't quite get why anyone would waste money on a personalised plate though unless they had more money than they knew what to do with. With a grand you could buy yourself and a mate a ST, a whole wardrobe of Bees merchandise, thereby demonstrating your love of the club and doing it some good.

My daughter has a tortuous plate made up to look like her name and keeps a 'legal' set in the boot. Whenever she's stopped about it, she flutters her eyelashes and says "so that's why my husband bought these plates at the weekend, I wondered why".

I've toyed with plates since the late 1960's, when it was not so 'in', and I have a very personal plate and a season ticket. My son has a "8EES" plate, quite a lot of merchandise and a season ticket also; they are not mutually exclusive!

You're joking ....??

Why didn't I think of that? :idea::rolleyes::fishing:

Wouldn't want to park it at an away match for obvious reasons!
Actually, we take that car to most away matches and have not had a problem; it's red and white, too! Although we're sensible about where we park, we've not had any post-match problems in the last couple of seasons. Maybe in League 1 there will be some, though. We had our car, with BFC stickers, well keyed down the sides after that win at Cambridge a few years ago.

If it was a red & white Mini, that's my son's with me in it! I don't know that we went the wrong way but we did take a wrong turn then pulled in and turned around... was that you tooting?
