All a bit embarrassing I thought, especially the bit where he said 'A positive message to our supporters...'
I suppose poor old Peter G is there to pick up the pieces, but really a bit too late Kevin for 'we'll do this and do that...'
As for the 'freezing on the occasion' bit... excuses don't wash anymore with the fans.. They've been doing that all season..
All said and done what else did we expect him to say?
Although nothing would have probably had been better....

not exactly led by example has he? And that sh*t about protecting younger players. I think Charlie Ide and Jm are capable of looking after themselves. Lets give them both there due, niether of them are afraid to go in where it hurts

I think we'd all agree with that - sadly it's been a new level downwards.
Still think he can be a decent player, and I'd try taking the captaincy off him to see if that frees him from a burden (I know it shouldn't weigh on his mind, but perhaps deciding between Heads and Tails is his hardest decision of the week and keeps him awake at night)

I'm sorry but I have to say that you do not have a clue what goes through all of the players heads when they are losing. The fans have apparently had a rotten time since september, imagine if that was your career, your family, your mortgage, bills etc. You are fans, you go home to your normal jobs, its all a hobby for you, it doesn't effect your life, and you haven't got the slightest idea what it is like for the players and their families to be in this situation. Taking the p*ss is just downright horrible really.

Am I on a guaranteed 2 year high waged contract? Four weeks notice if I am lucky.
Will I get paid regardless if I am fit for my work? 5 days sick pay a year.

I would respectfully suggest you are wrong there and this "hobby" pays for Kevin's wages, which compared to the man in the street, are quite nice thank you very much.
Perhaps the player(s) you know should spend less time looking at the internet and concentrate on their game.
We all know footballers don't go out to make mistakes on purpose.

Your post has made my blood boil, I for one don't really care about a players mortgage, family and bills when he is on double of what I am on for playing a game of football and training for four half days a week..
If you are a player, you need to get back into the real world, if you are not then I suggest you need to see a doctor.
Or is this just a wind up...F*** me, its worked if it is..
Looking at Bee777's other posts, he/she's either related to KOC or just holds a crush on him..
I haven't actually got a problem with the bloke off the pitch, he has always come across as a perfect role model and gent especially with the kids.. just his form is dire and captaincy a joke.. (still thats Fitz's fault not Kevins).

I don't think many of them give a flying f*** to be honest (they certaintly didn't at Butlins with Leroy). They would 'prefer' to win but I bet they don't take it to heart as much as the fans do...

Ok - I'll accept he cares (although it's difficult to tell) but I will not accept that the life of footballer is more difficult than those of us with "normal" jobs and we should somehow feel sorry for them. We have sh*t days too you know and some us have proper, grown up, important jobs. Not me obviously but if, for example, Greenholme Bee threw in the towel in his job, there be a real lack of gay films available although I admit viagra is making his job as fluffer a lot more difficult these days.

and er durrr! it is the afternoon now. 2pm in fact. FFS!!
and he cared so much that he couldn't even look at the Brook Road as he walked off after our shambolic defeat to bottom of the table Rotherham - surrounded by the ref and the linesman. first time in ages i've seen a player of ours get more abuse than the officials - and it being totally deserved.

what tosh........these so called players live a privileged life style even at this level and are in line for criticism when they play badly after all I contribute to there wages they don't contribute to mine.
Also I doubt my boss would still pay me for the length of time Lloyd had off and pay up the remainder of my contract if I was doing a bad job like leroy.
It's laughable reading but we are all free to air our point of view.

Everything I do in life revolves around Brentford.
I met my best mates on the terraces. I came close to losing my job so I could go to Luton one friday evening. My wife and I can't go househunting at the weekends because I might miss a home game. I missed my brothers wedding to go to Telford.....
Don't EVER tell me it's just a hobby.
Oh, and if you are KOC, you were once my lads favourite player but I've told him that Charlie Ide is now his favourite. He does at least make an effort during the 90 minutes.

I don`t want Pele, I want honest players who give 100% and xcome off the pitch with no regrets.
If the players are then crap, it`s the manager who holds his hands up and jogs on.
O`Connor has been appalling this season and it will be a miracle if a club takes him off our hands.
After this season ends I don`t want to see any of them back next season except Abbey and the kids.
